FTSE 100 January

hoping that this is playing out but it could be forming an
ascending triangle also which would still require more upside to play out.

Hooya/Bonsai

I think the C-wave counts best as starting from a failed fifth to yesterdays gap high, then a 5 wave down with each main leg down being waves 1,3,5, almost of equal length but W1 is the shortest. I believe each wave can be sub-divided into 5 waves.

Can anyone recommend a good charting package for shares.Mytrack is full of holes!

sorry jonnyy, not my field

they all seem to have mixed responses though.

have you tried the equis stable ?

fell just short of the 512 so mini triangle played out. Not sure I want to short as 1 day turning back up

Does anyone know why the 'trading' range is so miserable these days? I was looking back over the years and a small range has been 40-50 points, an average is about 80 and many days were over 100.

20 point ranges almost seem the norm and yesterday seemed like a big move even though it was only 46 points. Often if the range is 40 points or so, half of it is on a gap!

that's a negative HB

but it is becoming much harder to make a buck.

I guess any buying pressure quickly fades.
and interestingly, not much selling pressure either.

is this going to come into play?

ps couldn't resist showing you again how the long legged doji
called the bottom!!

not sure about the ranges but I brought up a chart of monthly dow and pre 2000 top it looks like the ranges were similar to
the last 6 months. Maybe we just got use to the larger ranges on the fall

remember an earlier version of this? It doesn't get any better
does it. On tuesday ftse ignored the 133 point monday dow rise
and it's just treated a 50 point up dow opening with disdain.

just been reading about standard life.
they are presumably still long above 6000.
and 5000 as well for all I know.
must make it difficult for anyone who wants to come in at these levels only to see it plummet as the sellers come in. ?

small ranges may just be traders atwork ?

after the ABC we discussed at length, which could make "A"
we may now have seen the "B" and starting another "C"

be prepared anyhow.

I was just about to ask? already looking more impulsive than the c of possible A?

possible head and shoulders US side which will probably break at 4.31
