It seems to me that the voters are easily fooled. The UK by Blair and the US by most of them. Of course any imperfections used to get covered up by the press but not now.....
I hope for our sake that voters in Europe are potentially as ignorant as the ones in the U.S. I'd like to think we are not alone.
For instance......
A Congresswoman from Florida named Wasserman was responsible for distributing election money from the Democratic party during the primaries. She deliberately withheld money from Bernie Sanders while she gave millions to Hillary Clinton. Several emails were released (about a month ago ) that said she and others were making a deliberate effort to sabotage Sanders' election campaign. She resigned from her position a week later.
She is running for reelection in Florida and although her behavior is well known, she is running 50/50 with another Democratic primary candidate. What I don't understand is why it's so close when everyone knows she is so corrupt and unethical. Why didn't they run her out of town? If she is going to lie and cheat to her own friends in the party, she'll lie and cheat to the anonymous people electing her. Is that so difficult for them to comprehend?
Then there is an intellectual giant from Houston, Texas called Sheila Jackson.
She has had so many youtube moments she could have her own channel.
The thing is.......she keeps getting reelected because she is black. She represents a black district. That is the only reason she is in office. It says a lot about the people that give her votes. This is one of her many shining moments.....below...North Korea is the pariah of the world and Kim Jung Un is well known of his torture and murder of dissidents. And Communist Vietnam killed 7MN people after Saigon fell in 1975. Of course it is peaceful, all the dissidents are dead.
Mitt Romney ran for president in 2012 and he was very smart and well qualified.
He is very intelligent, confident, successful and quite moral. The only reason he lost is because he is Mormon. The religious right does not consider Mormons to be Christian. There are some really asinine reasons why people in America vote for and against politicians. Granted, that was not the only reason, but it was a significant argument for many people.
But, I guess we get what we deserve. That is why we ended up with Obama, Hillary and Trump. This country is going to hell in a hand basket and the Big Bad Wolf is going to be waiting for us on November 8th. The Founding Fathers would be embarrassed.
