Neither one is an ideal candidate.
Although Hillary does seem to have the edge now, it's a long time to November.
A lot of front runners eventually lost the election.
I am not in love with Trump, but I really, really can't stand Hillary. Or her husband. Or her homely looking, buck toothed daughter, Chelsea.
She is the most morally bankrupt, unethical, conniving, scheming, compulsive lying person in politics. I will give her and Bill credit.....they are very good politicians and know the political machine very well.

The Democrats had a bette turn-out by far. That is not surprising considering that it is very "Blue". I agree with you about the reason. Trump's victory was a foregone conclusion. In light of that fact, I know of a few Republicans that voted for Sanders to try to pull votes away from Clinton. The Democratic primary was much more contested than the Republican one.

If you live in the US, and even better yet, if you live in California, you will notice a trend between these cities and I am not talking about their political preference.

I know exactly what you mean. When you hear stories about declining educational rates, increases in crime rates, unwed mothers ....it would be more effective if it was broken down by race and ethnicity. The story would be much clearer.

No, there are always several fringe candidates on the ballot. Even a Libertarian. But no one pays attention to them because they don't get the press coverage that the Democrats and Republicans get. If a significant third party candidate ran for office ( Bernie Sanders ?) they would only take votes away from the two major candidates, like Ross Perot did with George Bush Sr; causing him to lose to Bill Clinton.
But...they should have the alternative candidates in the presidential debates with the Democrats and Republicans.
It's the right thing to do, but the major news networks are friends of the major politicians. They are in bed with each other. It won't happen.
