I think you missed my point. I have a degree from Leicester, my point is that there's no need to take everything personally. Likewise if a feminist were to take offence at your avatar I'd also say they were over reacting.

1. I have changed my avatar. This should fix the issue and stop giving mixed signals to feminists.

2. Different groups of people from various cultures and countries have different tolerance levels. It is the natural tendency of people to protect their groups and their beliefs.

3. What works in Japan culture wise will not work in America. Lots of Japanese find Americans as rude people. Many brits find americans rude but both brits and japs may not necessarily be correct in their assumptions.

4. I took an offense because it was my natural tendency to defend my tribe. Every one at some level does the same. A lot of Pakistanis would have ignored it. I chose not to but that is my personal choice.

5. I did not ask for an apology because you do not find your statement offensive which is fine and alright.

Lets cut this right here before people are further diverted away from the core of the issue. Less distractions are needed.

I presume you realise that the term you used above (J**s) is considered to be highly offensive and is a racist and xenophobic term of abuse.

I am surprised that a person with Pakistani roots should use such a term, bearing in mind that the standard taunt used against such people by ignorant bigots is a similar shortening of the word to describe someone from that country. How would you feel if a Japanese person on this forum used the shortened and highly offensive form of "Pakistani" in such a casual manner?

Racist abuse of this nature is not acceptable. I will be taking this up with the forum administrators, and will consider whether or not to report the incident to the authorities as a hate crime.

I was joking about reporting it, and it was obvious you didn't mean anything by it in any case. I've never understood why words like that are used to or considered to give offence - it's just a shortened form of a perfectly normal word, like "Brits".

Still though, maybe we could all be a bit more sensible and not look for offence where clearly none was intended?

I would love to apply Shariah law here but unfortunately there is no term or clause of using racist words on public internet forums. Pakistan follows Shariah law mostly under cases that involve sex outside marriage/gay sex and blasphemy thanks to a dictator called Mr. Zia who introduced them to protect his throne. He was a bad person.

There are personal harassment laws which work under Civil courts that were approved recently in Pakistan. I could be tried under those but again the case has to be submitted first. Remember I am a defendant here.

I am not sure about amputation of limbs but public stoning is usually carried out in the cases of having gay sex, sex outside marriage or blasphemy. I have committed none of those so this is out of the question if even Leopard won the case.

Stoning is out of the question because it requires a different set of rule breakage mentioned in my previous post.

Amputation not too sure about this one because I am not aware of what kind of law breakage results in that.

I knew an Egyptian once and he took offence to being called a Gypo.
I have a friend who is Japanese although mostly schooled in California never said anything
when I would refer to the "mad Japs". Maybe he was too kind so I will ask him about it.
