Brexit and the Consequences

Britain had better wake up a lot and face the unpleasant fact that no country owes us a living.
Our goods have to be competitive in price and quality. Years ago I was trying to sell Hoover in a free trade area and our products were overpriced, poor quality and out of date. It was murder !!

Aye, the only ones who don’t subscribe to that are the brexiteers  . They seem to think we are still the workshop of the world with everyone and his wife clamouring for our goodies. Talk about living in the past!

What goods are they then Pat? :cheesy:

Just for you Atilla....:cheesy:

Yo matey.

Michelle Dewberry and that piece of fluff what do they have in common?

Well other than that they were both on the apprentice and slept with colleagues absolute FA.

Somehow, they have become experts on matters, appearing on national TV spewing out lots of b0ll0cks. BBC Question Time even.

Here knock your self out with more celebrity gossips by big blabber mouths.

Stupid moo is surrendering London to some low life terrorists to make her grandeur point AND you think she and Farage are good Brits? More like wannabee celebrity opportunists to me...

That's the trouble everyone now makes just about everything. That is why I suggested the politicians stop others stealing intellectual stuff from the patent office. By perhaps requiring others to have the permission of the patent owner to view the information beyond a general summary.

Notwithstanding any Ted Heath blackmail scandal based on peadaphilia that may or may not emerge, it would appear that we may have illegally entered the EU based on a pure sham (scam) anyway, an act of treason?

Psst ..... Don't tell Nick Clegg or Attilla

Took over 10 years for UK to become full member before the previous 10 years of wishing they had at the start and then some Brexsh1tters come out with a story like this suggesting UK's was coerced or black mailed into it becoming a member.

How bloody marvelous you lot all are at creative thinking?

ROTFLMAO

Two heads maybe better than one, but nail two planks together and you can certainly double the thickness too ;)

It looks like it took 10 years for the establishment to figure out how to legitimise a previous prime ministers mistake when Heath unconstitutionally signed the Uk into the EU. And they did it with a retrospective referendum.

Nothing's changed, the establishment just carry on ignoring the will of the people, unfortunately not to the detriment of themselves as they always get one of the 2 parties in power to control.

But I feel things could be changing in the future, now that UKIP has also become an establishment party there's likely to be a shift of disenfranchised voters moving to the new party being setup by Anne Marie Waters. How many voters will move from the main parties also only time will tell.

Is a shake-up on the way?

Was never a negotiation on EU's behalf and therefore never a deal in the offing. All this pretending is just wasting time. Davis already said at conference, planning for a no deal is well under way. Teresa the appeaser doesn't need to bother offering any more money either. She has already made a complete tit of herself by offering something for nothing in the first instance. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-41544588

As has been mentioned, EU big member countries like Germany and France stand to gain from UK's departure not lose. Same for Holland, Spain and Italy.

Those countries and producers will gain new industries like banking, pharmaceuticals and car production whilst at the same time displacing UK goods selling in EU.

They are rubbing hands with glee at UK dropping out of the union.

It's simple cost benefit analysis. Where is the greatest gain? All about the numbers. Good riddance and all that :whistling

Hardly. It would appear to be very much in their interests to get on board the British plan.

Christ, if you’re praying the Daily Express in aid things must be desperate

It's simple maths.

They currently export more to us.
We currently export more outside the EU.

The political fall out for those leaders inside the EU who export more to us is the consideration. Heads will roll if they allow Junker the drunker and Barnier "le cretin des alpes" to stall or block a deal.

No it is not!

That's wishful thinking and a fallacious argument.

UK propensity to import > always greater than > exports since 1850s. Historically so. The only time that statistic went the other way was when Thatcher decimated manufacturing and UK recession was so deep imports declined and recovery was export lead briefly in the late 80s. More of an anomaly than any achievement.

If non-EU countries know price of EU cars will go up due to applied WTO tariffs, they'll simply also raise their prices to maintain current competitive parity as now. That's just good business and simple pricing policy.

Why would UK citizens stop buying well produced EU cars?

Same goes for food stuff.

Daily trash lacks any economic analysis or credibility. Think about it??? If you have the faculties and rational to do so. Some how I doubt you will.

No this is the fallacious argument. As EU protectionist members, we don't have access to alternative producers that are not on the EU's approved list. So once outside for example, we can buy produce from Africa, which in turn would help lift them out of poverty and corruption and in turn, stop them from risking their lives crossing the med and becoming the EU's problem. Would also mean that inflation is reduced and that Brits have more disposable income to spend or save as they see fit.

So get off ya silly high horse and start looking at reality.(y)

What is this stupid has been, (sorry, never was) going on about !
She doesn't even understand her own country, let alone ours.

The EU seems to be such a big lumbering monster with no brains that there may be more defections imho
It's only the Germans who seem to be benefiting from it but then it is run by Merkel I suppose.
