The anti Trump protests in the USA surprise me a bit. Surely in a democracy the result is accepted by the losing party who slot in as the Opposition.

The deomcraps have had a good long run and now it's the others who get a go.

It's flavour of the month from the liberal elite: the great unwashed masses didn't understand what they were voting for and therefore should be discounted. Excellent example from the UK Liberal Democrats who now say they won't vote for Article 50 unless we have another referendum (i.e. the back door way to null the voice of the masses).

It seems to me that there are many people who only accept democracy when it goes their way. It now appears that it's just not the UK where we have bad losers.

No presidential candidate has ever done anything like Trump, he is a one off...He has said tonight that "Obama is a good man" Its becoming obvious that he says a lot of things then back-track's, not a great quality for a president.

No doubt he will emulate Obama's removal of Churchill's bust by removing MLK's.

I find it both poignant and sick that today is Armistice Day (and Leonard Cohen has died) and we see a fascist in the White House. He has already tweeted that the riots and demos have been by "professional protesters" who he says have been "incited by the media."

Just echoing Hitler and Mussolini......oh he's a nice man really....he doesn't mean what he says.....give him a chance etc etc etc

By the way, I am not a pink radical.....like most people I could be called left of centre on some issues and right of centre on others. But principles of fair play and justice and tolerance remain enduring and not for sale or rent to the latest demagogue ......and I can only hope they re-emerge in the future.

One of the major weaknesses of human nature is to place people in boxes and identify them with labels. Leave that to undertakers. They are the ones who do well out of that attitude and the hatred and intolerance and suffering that labelling engenders.
