FTSE 100 February

just went back ad checked the formula in the cells...got ya...i think.....

do you want to have a browse over some rules and backtests..?
they are a bit raw,...but you could do with a ftse 15 year data file for the aiq..so you can just flick through ohlc historic data with your arrow cursors whilst seeing how the rules work...

always interested in potential rules lee. email them to me if
you can.

would be interesting to know what % of the time the R2 and S2 i.e the new .5 one is hit on the long and short side.

here are my Dow Pivots for today.

Well I suppose the little bit of up counts as correct :) blame the
dear old dow for dampening it down. Left my long in while I went
off to golf so it turned out a nice day (golf was good too).

Todays candle is uncertain with bullish bias (will look stronger on
your version, bonsai? Almost a bullish engulf but a bit nullified by
the upper shadow?) so I'm still looking to yesterday's hammer as
a base. Once again much depends on the dow?

yes, I do have a 'bolder' candle than you.
As you say 'bullish engulfing' except for the carrot top.
Even engulfs Monday except todays carrot top does not outshine Monday's carrot top.

So probably boiled beef tomorow ?

let's keep the 'A' label for now and await developments.

......and something else to be taken with a pinch of salt. This is a
90 day VMA (exponential smoothed for volatility). There's always
a fit somewhere :)

VMA ?
Sharescope must have moved on since my day.

As a matter of interest what version are they on now ?

morning all

this is like that arcade tennis game ?
bounced back of the top line and completed H&S and now
bounced up from the bottom line.

at least it's behaving itself.

a/d still showing negative mood yesterday and today

Just gone short so I hope it's negative.I think we've had the top in the Dow so it's down several hundred points from here.

hmmm with the dow having support at 440 pre market at this point has it @ 10485 i expect it will try the 10500 trend line from the highs of 10700 which may well see it advance towards 560/600 the old ftse may well have a try to push towards 430/40 after rate decision breaking 4408, hopefully 4390 will hold as support for it..

morning chaps, thought i would offer my thoughts...(for what they are worth)

ive got 4389 as pretty tough support carrying over from yesterdays action. todays H&S looks to have run it course, so im cautiously bullish at the moment..

however, with the rate decision, its gonna be slow going.

anyone reading any good novels at the moment?

FC

erm doesnt this look like a H&S to you guys? met its target almost on the nose?

sorry yes it does but way to small for me to take notice of hence why I didtn see it:)

lol yes, i appreciate it was in no way tradeable..

but bear in mind that i trade EOD because of firewall restrictions here at work, i still like to monitor the market to confirm my analysis.

seems to be conforming to plan so far..

i still suspect we may break yesterday's high though. which would be nice, ahead of what is most likely to be a sell-off in the states tomorrow..

is the new Zadie Smith opus any good?

FC

4389 still holding!! Just..

if it does we could have a bull-flag developing, with the "pole" from yesterday afternoon's run-up. potential target 4410-ish..this would coincide with overhead resistance.....

otherwise, who knows.

answers on an e-postcard please.
