FTSE 100 February

negative candle today, but little comment to add from yesterday.

to give a slightly different perspective i've crunched the daily
candles to two day ones. shows the weakness of the bounce
quite nicely.

barjon
seems to have thrown up some interesting volume info ?

I think the reds have it 3-2 on increasing volume ?

---------------------------

4357 is now within a stone's throw
was defended well last time and may produce a higher low this time. But don't count on it.

Bottom trend line is needless to say more than 2 days range away at 4468 (Fib at 4465)
so has fallen out of consideration for now.

Pivots for tomorrow
R2 - 4433
R1 - 4406
S1 - 4360
S2 - 4343
may not be exactly the same as yours but close enough for jazz ?

Top Line at 4413

that's all folks

there is always one more thing ?

for lovers of fib fan lines.
Haven't shown one of these for some time, but they happen fairly often

The original line marked the tops as the index fell to 4357

The second line is a fib fan line drawn at 61.8% of the gradient of the first.

No comment required ?

Bonsai.
I confirm your target .
From 4436 C=A to 4355 to make a double btm.

I have not target but still cant see why we cant make a higher low. If I was taking the US into account then it would be a different story but its off doing its own thing along with the $.

Fluke if this is the end of a correction , double botttom. Whats does that make the bigger count? Would it be the ending of B with start of C?

its so much easier going with the opening when you are already in the money from an earlier position.

SO why can't I do it mid trend ???

Hooya.
Sorry,I am not very good at EW counts ,just waiting to see what the next move is.I make the short term downtrend line crosses at a fib of 4405, if thats any help.lol.

hooya

most people have difficulty with that.

it's a pschycological thing about fear of pull back ?

perhaps you could try pulling the trigger but using a minimum stake ?

any way back up to that triangle top line again, so this may not be quite the right moment ?

Oh no Barjon, took my points this morning at 98 :) (just after posting on another BB it's targeting 402 LOL) I am my own worst enemy sometimes.

Just for info:-

Its strange after Bonsai introduced me to the 1 hr Ma I have always had it on my chart but often failed to benefit
from it so I have stuck another one slightly larger (but no time reference involved) and things seems clearer. Although I am in by the time a MA cross over happens (usually) it just gives me the added confidence strange but true.

it's just another indication of how our mind views different patterns

you are r ight Bonsai it is a fear thing. I worry that a stop is to far away. When do I know the slight pull back after the open has finished. How do I know its not a gap fill. etc etc etc. I just comes down experience imo and with greater experience you get
greater confidence.

But if you are already in from 77 its easy

That'll do I think - got to get ready (must have a game since
playing the captain and pro tomorrow - wish me luck  )

Interesting talking about trading techniques/styles/hang ups.

Although I enjoy it I don't think I'm really cut out for day trading.
At my happiest when first signal "works" and I can just sit back
nudging my stop along. Not much good at trying to negotiate
choppier waters (my choppy waters likely to be flat calm for you
guys), nor at making the judgement calls like Bonsai's "just
sitting there looking at me".

Good hunting fellas, maybe pick up before the close.

Recently taken delivery of 'Intermarket Technical Analysis' by Murphy.(Along with 'Visual Investor' and 'TA of the Financial Markets').I think the Intermarket TA book may be the most interesting of the lot.
Do any of you use it as the basis of any kind of trading strategy/incorporate it into a strategy?
Can anyone suggest any internet links regarding Intermarket Analysis?

Only read the TA of the Financail Markets out of that list
so cant really comment on intermarket stuf but let us
know if there is anything interesting in it.

the market today is very nice and all that and the 1 hour
is doing it what it should.

but what is going on ?

looks very strong.
