Orgasmatron yields 10 pips in stormy conditions

if I was a bullsh*t marketeer i'd claim 10 easy pips now and the Corrie once again
proves its the greatest tool in the mega forex cosmos....

but its not......the 1m index has been showing most markets below zero in last few mins so in theory the momentum had slowed vs the 5m which has looked ok for euro/GBP buys

a lottery sometimes..........and of course these all may need more fine tuning

I might tweak the index corrie later and swap the Euro and GBP on instead of the Tag...then we are just watching for everything moving in the same direction like a shoal of fish.......

the Tag are on the elevator clearly enough anyway (and a confession - those elevators are all now on 14/3 settings exactly the same as the 2 index corries)

Hey - load it (page 64 post 505) and you can play yourselves gang...and remember I am purely testing in scalp conditions so the higher TF's would be much less frantic than this.....

Hi N,

Well its gone 11:00 so thats me for today trading wise - I think...! Tough morning but expected due to the dreaded NFP data release later on and here is what I saw this morning using M5 tfs.

E/G:- Didnt really expect a trade on this pair today but lo and behold the god of pipadoolies blessed this cross and I took a long at 08:20 after the previous down thrust bar, let it ran the shallowish retrace and allowed a forced exit against my [then] tight TS on the 09:15 bar for a tad under 11 pips. Was tempted to re-enter short again after the 10:50 bar but decided this was far to near to my cut off time - thank you whoever!

E/U:- Entered short at 08:15 and immediately found myself in a drawdown position of circa 12 pips but considered this not that much of a threat and price reversed to carry on south for me then went into a very narrow range and I decided that perhaps now would be a prudent time to make polite excuse mes and leave the table, so exited at 09:20 for a miserable 6 pips profit - then watched price move further south after this (typical!), then gasped as price reversed north (phew!). Definitely no temptation to re-enter after that as an hour to grab 6 pips is not really my cup of tea.

G/U:- Entered long at 08:05 and got booted up the proverbial two bars later as priced breached my reverse trade point (why didnt I see this was so close? Dooh), so a 13 pip loss there and long entered. Nearly got fed up at the end 03:50 retrace but luckily trigger finger was otherwise occupied (making rude gestures at screens!) and after the strange 09:15 bar, decided to exit for a small 11 pip profit. That price temptress had me soul searching at 10:55 for a quicky long entry, but I resisted (ooonly just!) and called it a day - of sorts.

Not a great morning session with a lot of work for very few pips in an unforgiving and seemingly "floating" market, but thats life on the dark side for you.

Nice long screen break for me now whilst the mayhem period takes over, dont know if there will be any opportunities later on as usually I find that a volatile NFP period upsets everything indicator wise, especially your corrie one, so its best to just sit this out.

Saw your screen shots this morning and although we are on different broker feeds I was getting the same sort of "is it?; isnt it?" flags, but again corrie held up remarkably well considering the prevailing market conditions - well done there.

BTW; Congrats on your promotion to veteran member. Just noticed I too got "promoted" from newbie to junior sometime overnight, doe that mean I can trade full time now?!!

mentoring , learning et all.........

I have been a lucky bunny......

I have always tried to read and research first a lot before spending dosh on forex training or anthing else...

finance markets wise (forget the many gambilng and multilevel selling seminars I have attended over the many years) I have been on the odd course and training + the odd financial trading system has been purchased...all with strong recommendations received before I plunged in....so do the same newbies in your learning path !

I am always happy (privately) to recommend these people but its mainly newbie stuff and the costs are minimal for what is good education - even if you dont use the stuff eventually...anyway mentioned just in passing as I am aware of the increasing garbage that newbies get in their mailboxes..

theres some great people on this site that share most ideas Freely but you have to open your ears to them ....

(I wish they would create a T2W greatest/respected Members list so you could hunt down the great stuff out there :idea🙂

I am also (sadly) the person you hate to take to a presentation If I (very quickly) dont agree with it....and am proud to have been ejected from a few over the years :innocent:

I was dragged to a WIN** or whatever trading presentation yonks ago by a friend who I feared would actually buy into the damn thing as hard work and learning is not his way to riches...... I lasted 10 minutes as instead of agreeing with the presenter about the charts being put up (the "YES YES YES" standard brainwashing strategy) I kept saying
maybee....maybee...as I saw interesting charts...but A doesnt always equal B as we all know.....well in the end I was asked to leave as my lack of an "open mind" was damaging the rest of these learned individuals....they didnt even give me any free tea and buscuits either 😢

name of firm will come to me in the end....I know theyve been doing it for years and not just trading but property as well I think.......

form opinions and agree and disagree....that way you begin to create your own ideas and strategies...

then go to the next area and do it again.....wherever it is !
