That was a bit quick,90c in 8 mins.(or $90 profit when trading 100 shares or $900 profit when trading 1000shares).If you pick the stocks that are hot and you feel comfortable with direct access trading. Then trading momentum pre market can be another weapon in the daytraders tool kit.

I attach the next dollar run that i missed.

I am using the Direct Access Elite demo at the moment to get some practise in before I go live.

I assume it is about as close you can get to the real thing (without using real money of course, which I appreciate makes a difference :) )

I shorted TASR 5 times between 1 and 2 pm for 3 relatively big winners and two small losers.

Maybe its a "feature" of the Demo then - it will let you short on an uptic, but not always at the market price.

I'm still getting to grips with the software though. Are you telling me there is no way to short this stock in "real life"? Sounds crazy.

What is a UPC11830? (excuse my ignorance!)

I believe TASR is shortable with CFD's.I was sitting with one of GNI's US traders on their trading floor in the city a few months back and asked him to bring it up to see if it was shortable, which it was.No trade was taken though.

The first two trades today:
Our old friend CECO bought 47.90
sold 48.15
for profit +25

And another one for the people who came to my Bloomberg seminar
GILD bought 64.66
sold 65.25
for profit + 59

Time for a glass of Chardonnay in the garden before the rain comes

Hi Mr. C'
You surprise me on two counts. First, your choice of wine. I had you down as a Sauvignon man! (Bye the bye, If you want to make a long drink with the Chardonnay, add Indian Tonic water, 2-3 slices of thinly sliced cucumber and ice. Very refreshing!)

Secondly, your CECO trade. You must have been VERY confident to buy just below the round number? ;-)
Cheers, Tim.
