ha! ha!.. I must add a caveat that the most recent trade wasn't based on the 5 min strat Im testing today...it was based on the well tried (and failed!) system of trying to swim against the tide...never again!!

Thanks for the news trading link, Baruch. Been following that thread too for a while. Just trying to get a baseline performance of this simple BO method with these trades (variation of Hans' BO posted on SBFX) - no discretionary filters yet for news, support/resistance, fibs etc.

Morning all, I will once again be focusing on my 5 min strat this week. DC..did you get stopped out on your 792 Dow Long, or are having deep pockets with it? I am looking to Long the Dow myself, but not until the 640-660 area.

Yes I got stopped out on the Dow I will wait for tomorrow to get a position on the Dow

for now I just have the cable short which I may just take profit rather than turn at 293 and enjoy some of this nice weather

Morning,

Was long during Tokyo, didn't reach my target of 8420, closed it out at -15 to go short at 8351.
Limit close at 16 for +35 --> +20
Since the downmove still had some oomph, went short again at 01, closed at 8295: +6. Happy with that, as euro/usd is likely to bounce off the 2600 big figure.
