It is all a Fugazsy

not an easy day for day trading in my view........that's why is always best to scalp some and leave some to run, when it runs those are the days that will make the difference.....at least it is for me.

my trade today....GU: risk was 5.7, covered 2/4 @ +6.6 (MA), 1/4 @ +10.8 and 1/4 @ +32.1.

any questions why I took this trade?

Done for the day.

made 14 pips in total, could have done a bit more but that is another story....

I risk 2% per trade per 10 pips.

On this trade I made 2.8% by risking 1.14%, not great but I do not mind making that every day...:)

Ciao.

What are sitting ducks? They are stop losses ready do be slaughtered......

I will show what I mean with a chart next......yes it is free of charge..

If you entered where I did (1) and trailed your stop at your entry after a small profit (7 pips about) you would been stopped out, as well if you entered afterwards with the lower high (2).

She needs some space, she normally shakes her hips before she takes home only the one able to dance , she cannot take them all..

this could be the high of the day or the high of the European session

and she also like to shake off arrogant traders ....and not only she went to test the "ceiling", she went to make an HH, fortunately I was able to take off my +10 covering 50% with the rest at BE :whistling.

I also should have reentered at arrow, which I did not, a good trade fading the new extreme in the direction of the least resistance

....well sometime I like to go home by myself.:clover:

Closed last 1/4 @ +53.9.

1/2. +10
1/4 + 20
1/4 +53.9

my initial risk was 4.6, not bad for a old man like myself.

My only trade of the day, it took me hours before I entered this trade, I like that, it confirms maturity as a trader.

Yes, she was making HH's and HL's but into a range, she broke the new extreme and the high of the previous day, just below 2 hours into the LO.

I saw a possible reversal fail final flag, the arrow the flag, clearly on the 1m TF.
Took the chance, close monitoring PA back at the flag then at the previous day high, below that a clearly 2 legs pullback, took my money, seems I got out at the right spot, I have to admit, my exit was also based a bit on feeling.....

Gut feeling in trading......Livermore also talks about it in his book...

"'The Jade Master' is a story in a book by Ed Seykota called 'The Trader's
Window.' It's about a young man who didn't know what to do with his life."

"He had heard about a man known as the jade master who lived about five miles
away. One day the young man said to himself, 'Even though it's winter, I'm
going to visit the jade master and learn all about jade.'"

"So he walks five miles through the snow and bitter cold. Finally he comes to
the jade master's house and knocks on the door. An old man with a broom in his
hand opens it. 'Yes? What can I do for you?'"

"The young man says, 'I've come to learn about jade. Would you take me as your
student?'"

"'Sure,' the old man says. 'Come on in.'"

"Inside the house the jade master makes the young man a cup of green tea, then
presses a green stone into his hand. 'Hold that while we talk,' he says. And
as they sip their tea on this cold winter day, the old man begins telling a
story about a green tree frog."

"The young man becomes very impatient. He doesn't want to hear about tree
frogs. 'Excuse me,' he says, 'I came here to learn about jade.'"

"'Oh, excuse me,' the old man says, 'Why don't you come back next week?'"

"Puzzled, the young man heads for home. The following week he trudges all the
way back through five miles of cold snow. The old man opens the door and lets
him in. He makes the hot tea, presses this green stone into the student's hand,
and again begins to talk about a green tree frog."

"This time the young man is able to listen a little bit longer. Finally he
says, 'Excuse me, but I came here to learn about jade.' He thinks the old man
is going senile on him."

"'Oh, excuse me,' the jade masters says, 'Maybe you'd better just go home now
and come back next week.'"

"This went on all winter long, and each time the young man returned, he would
interrupt the jade master less and less. In the meantime, he learned a few
things. He now knew how to make green tea and how to sweep the kitchen floor
with the broom. As he and the old man became friends, he began to make himself
useful and help with the things that needed to be done."

"As always, the old man would sit down and start talking about the green tree
frog. The young man just listened now, never interrupting until the old man
got tired. Then he would trudge home through five miles of snow and come back
the following week."

"One day he arrived for his weekly visit. It was spring now, much easier to
make the five-mile walk. The jade master opened the door and told him to come
in. As the student sat down, the old man pressed the green stone into his hand
and gave him a cup of green tea. Again he began to tell the story of the green
tree frog."

"Wait a minute,' the young man said. 'This isn't jade.' Suddenly he knew that
the green stone in his hand wasn't jade."

my first trade -4.5.

To be honest I have not any idea why I took this trade, it is neither a fail BO or a BO pullback.

But looking back into my thought my action were only directed by fear of missing out.

Back in the cave.

Recovered my pips on the same pair (not worth showing) by 3/4.

Best move happened (my session) on Eu and GU, I was not on them. They moved fast and unexpected without visiting (MY) technicality or maybe they did. Back in the cave.

Lol

Not sure what is going on, ECB cuts interest and the euro gains 300 pips... I Might do some reading....

Eu 5m.

took 27 pips out of this baby.

made a lot of research in my own style in the last week, I am trying to make my style as simple as possible where my thinking is reduced to the minimum.

this was my view on EU, as you can see I initiated my trades at one level and covered at another, in my experience is better to cover partial and let the rest run till the end of the daily candle, if the reversal is strong I stay with it the all lot and those are the day which will make the difference, it is not easy to sit but when it works pays well at times.

I will not initiate any trades if the market is not moving.
