yep - theres been some nice runs on usd today that got my targets...........Ive been arsing around really on last hour trying to call the turn......... so still trying to stop that tide with my king Canute hat on

Traders - never try to stop a racing train......step aside and get on it

GU - 5595 - 5610 ish 120 + pips lower - nice one

EJ - 135 90 - 136 15 ish 30 + pips above this morning

Uchf - 9795 - 9780 ish 50 + pips above this morning

Ucad- 3160 - 3185 ish 40 pips lower this afternoon

UJ - 124 90 - 124 75 ish 20 pips lower this afternoon

AU - 7350 - 7365 ish 35 pips lower this morning

Scalping earned far greater than set and forget part stakes today

Dear Pat,

Not entirely sure about your mode of communications here nor your spelling. For this outburst is beyond the scope of reasonable thinking and behaviour. Would suggest running a spell check too because you seem to have missed a couple of letters out in some names i.e. the "N" in Sir Gissachance appears to be missing and the "R" which goes straight after the "P" but before the "A" in PAT.

Freaky Friday 7th August 2015 - Pre Opens

Good Morning to all FX Intraday Traders

Non Farm Payroll news release day and in years gone by the busiest trading day of the calendar .

Nowadays its just does not seem to have the same effect - but then we are in a different ballgame to 7 - 10+ years ago - trading as changed - all through HFT and the increase in automation.

Many would not want to trade today - as the markets would be too volatile etc and "freaky" - but now for us - more than likely it will still be boring but instead with just more spikes etc etc.

Normal stuff - all are welcome to contribute - charts - calls - forecasts - ideas or methods - questions etc etc - but please any FX newbies - this thread is not recommended for you.

Lets finish the weak with another good day

Scalps

For anyone who still does not understand this thread - every trade I take starts as a scalp trade with a soft stop size of 3 to 7 pips - with the average being 5 pips

If i cannot get a trade on with a tight stop - I dont trade

I have 2 TW's and hour along with 6 KT's that are used along with my 1 min LR chart and interim S & R's to take intraday trades ideally from 7 to 25+ pips.

If I cannot make 7 pips off a scalp - I take 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 pips - but never ever - just let a winning trade go to a loss - thats if i can help it

Not every key time is suitable for a scalp

Out of the normal 6 times - give or take a minute either side - most hours only 2 or 3 time will match up with a change etc

If the time match with multi pairs - a stronger move

An example this morning is at the end of the hour TW at 6 09 am

I took the GU and made 8 pips net on the sell

At the same time the EU fell 7 pips EJ - fell 11 pips and UChf rose 9 pips

quick update for 7 00 am and the European Open

Basically price at 0918 and under 0928/9 for now in a bearish Price Structure

6 09 am was the scalp sell ( I only took GU this morning ) at that time but have sold EU from 0920

We need under 0910 and 0900 and 0890 to sell more etc and if we try up - over 0930 and 45 to be taking or holding on new scalp buys

We have a couple of HL's last 2 days last on being - 0873 - so if we break lower than it favours tries at 0850 and lower

We have not had a 1000+ so far this month - only 0985-90 ish

Be careful of spikes at both exactly 7 00 am and also 8 00 am - the Opens

Not always - but they do happen

I notice we have some non red news releases at 7 45 - 8 00 am and 9 30 am

Just be aware of them - but the big stuff is not until 1 30 pm - and then 3 00 pm

will only stay with 30% stake under 0917

6 56 am was the scalp buy on this pair from 5613

it need over 23 to stay with it

I would only sell under 5509 and 06

Not really mentioned it except to give you its LiTs and to say after 6 09 am it was a sell

I dd not take it at 6 09 am - only the GU this morning but did take it after 6 22 pm and 6 39 pm

Price now bounced at 7 05 pm at 136 16 - but left 30% stake still on the sell

Many scalp opportunities across the main FX range this morning - ie UChf / UCad / AU

For now the EU / EJ and GU are all falling - but slow

The GU did not make over 22/23 so was just another sell again and now at 5509

Back after 7 30 am

i did say about the 6 09 am sell at 6 36 am this morning

Since 6 36 am to now - ie real time its dropped approx 9 pips - slow but still pre London Open
