Morning Update

19th December 2006

Two trades this morning for a -20 and a +30, net +10 pips.

Strong upwards move this morning, but my methodology took a hit early, otherwise it would be more pips than that and the move continues, but I've hit profitablilty so will go easy and wait for a possible pre 9am reversal.

An additional 4 trades off the 1330 announcement which turned out to be a choppy market for +10, -40, -30, +30.

Total for the day -20 pips, a loser, but the first for a while and totally acceptable.

Three trades to kick the day off today for -40, +30, 0 net total -10 pips.

News today at 0930 and 1100 so I'll be done by lunhctime which'll let me get some more shopping done.

Heck, realised I didnt update the site yesterday, so here we go:

2 trades in the morning session for +10 and +20.

Then a further 3 trades off the 1330 and 1700 for +30, -10, +10.

Total for the day 60pips.

A good new year to you all.

OK, starting off this year, I'm moving to recording results on this blog to a level contract approach.

Previously, I traded 2 contracts, exiting one after 10 pips and the second after a further 10 pips. However, on analysing my results for the past few months and looking at the statistics, my risk/reward is better if I trade flat with 1, 2 or more contracts and not using the exit after 10 pips strategy.

This will also keep results in line with those published on a single contract basis through my website.

I will also at times refer to cash $ balances in my account, though this is only to indicate % return per month on capital and not a day by day trading statement.

Overall, compared to previous posted results the pip count will be lower but more exacting, I then have the option of trading any number of contracts I wish against this level contract pip count to increase my personal returns.

So, started the year with 3 trades through this mornings session and 0930 news for +10, 0, +20, net +30 pips today so far.

Some US news later which'll I'll be into.
