Country Ken's Tips and racing discussions

Yes OpenMind, I have put in a huge amount of work to reach the level at which I am today.

I did trade professionally for a number of years but now I trade for myself and the change was quite difficult in the sense that it is far harder to trade with one's own money than to trade with someone else's.

I am nowhere near the level of a Mr Charts or a Naz but I am at the level where I can comfortably support my family from intra-day trading.

I have developed my own style and method of trading over the past 2 years and I have worked the hardest on the psychological angle to make sure that I apply my method / system as objectively and mechanically as possible.

Because you see, when I do that, it works and I do not have losing days.

I have a very high success rate indeed with a pretty damn good R/R .

Hope that helps

As for the name Salty Gibbon, I used a little imagination to come up with that one and I would imagine that imagination is something that is in short supply with yourself judging by the nature of your post.

Have a lovely day.

I would also add OpenMind that it is my firm opinion that in order to be a successful trader, you need not only discipline but a large dollop of flair and imagination.

And I would imagine that also applies to horse racing. ;)

Am I correct Ken ?

Ken,

The bank balance doesn't seem to be going in the right direction, are you sure the banker's calculations are correct?

What do you expect ?

This is gambling as opposed to calculated and manageble risk taking.

The banker should check he has his correct glasses on. If a gambler's bank balance goes in the wrong direction too often he may pull his business away from the bank, a banker doesn't want to lose business does he? :cheesy:

I have to say this

Hi,

I have to say this, i don't know if any of you watched
the race.

Im not a sore loser ( gutted for you too ) but being unlucky
is another thing

One of our selection - Topkat, did not break well, was
in last position, coming in the furlong marker, he was
making good headway and with another stride or 2
he would have won, but beaten in a photo, if that
is not bad luck, i don't know what is.

I guess we just have to put this behind us and
live to fight another day.

Regards
Ken

Luck is an invention of the human imagination Kenny.

There is no such thing as unlucky people.

Only losers. ;)

Is it not true Kenny that once your losses get to a certain level, you start again and change your method of accounting in order that your losses will always appear reasonable?

If you can count that high, could you please tell us what are your total losses since starting this thread and the previous thread on which you posted your losers ( oops, sorry...tips ).

By the way, there's a rumour going around that MILLVILLE has been nobbled.

Well done Kenny boy.

A winner at last, albeit a favourite which I am sure most people picked by virtue of its being favourite.

The nobblers obviously had a bad day, unlike you Kenny boy, heh ?

Keep popping away.
