good day ken, ive got another horse i'll be backing today at a decent price.i'd be glad if you would be so kind as to give your opinion on it. its
BAHIANO in the 3.25 at newmarket. clive brittains horse dropping back to 7f (which he has won over before albeit a maiden) the horse has been running in good company all year and seems to have been a bit unlucky a couple of times. ran at york on june 16 and had a numbers of todays rivals well behind and ran last weeks stewards cup winner gift horse to a head the race before. at odds of somewhere aroun 8-12 to one has to be worth a small bet. whats your rating for the horse?

F A O Houdani

Hi Houdani,

Firstly, the race itself is a very trappy affair.

A case can be made for quite a few horses
on their old form.

In saying that, your fancy does seem to have
fair form on previous runnings, as you have
stated.
But from an handicap point of view, hes present
mark of 92 is a bit to high, taking this trappy
race into account from all angles, this is my
personal verdict.

BAHIANO - rating = 5/10

Hope im wrong.

Good luck Houdani

Cheers
Ken

P.S. See you around Houdani.

Money is not everything Salty

Hey Salty, it's true, money is not all there is to all this. Racing is truly the 'Sport of Kings' and as such must be approached with the proper reverence. With C-Ken we are privileged to share an insight into the workings of a mind that has been honed by many decades, nay a lifetime in the study of horses, the Great Sport, and doubtless all aspects of the countryside.
The complexity of C-Ken's methods (his numbered ranking system and the grading system for lays) is testament to the mastery of a methodology which those of us from outside the industry can only guess at. Belief must be of necessity be blind at this early stage while he tests our perseverance and faith, but participation for the love of the Chase is reward in itself, and to know that one is permitted to walk in the footsteps of a racing guru is surely the crowning pleasure?

Do you know how many Jockeys lose their lives and barely get a mention ?

I was talking to a Jockey some time ago and the answer is quite a lot.

And he proceeded to tell me that is why he is no longer a jockey, but doing something else.

unlucky all round this weekend ken,BAHIANO came third yesterday by two short heads as well. :cry:

So does, in the long run,

success = skill
failure = bad luck

because if anyone thinks that concept applies to trading, they are not going to succeed in the long term.

Aha Oh Salty One, Great Minds Do Thinketh Alike at EXACTLY the Same Time ;-)
Richard

Would I could trade exactly like you Richard and at the same time.

Trust you're having a good weekend.

Lol.

I am, thank you, and hope you are too.
And it is a pleasure, Sir, to read your grammar and syntax, which are much superior to mine.
Richard
