Chicken Curry,

Ref you system.

Firstly, there seems a certain amount of logic in what you say.

My personal advice is, what types of races are you going to do,
as you well know there are different types of races on both codes,
Turf Flat and N H ( jumps ) you then have to also pick out the distances
of the races you wish to do.
As for handicap races, i doubt that the system will work well as theres more
in it then just finding 10 runners or less and even the 3-1 shots.

My advice would be, decide what type of races you want to specialize in and the
distances of the races, when you have decided that and you have done whats
needed to be done e.g form, distance, going, trainer in form and so on, then apply
it on paper for a full season as see what results you get, and then based on that,
you will have a clear picture.

I have been doing handicap races for no less then 40 years, and it does not get any
easier, trust me, i know, its a hard game.

I hope this is of some help, i wish you luck.

Thanks for your comments Ken.

I guess what I am really asking is, do you think that a hit rate in excess of 25% is realistically achievable ?

I will probably "paper trade" this method and see how it goes for a while.

Thanks again

Chicken Curry,

I don't know if you know this, ( im not going off the subject ) most leading tipsters
get around 16 - 20% strike rate, there could be some that do much better then
mentioned ( i have not heard of any myself )

Regarding if you can get a strike rate of 25% is quite possible, but certain
factors must be taken into account, e.g. the betting forecast of the Racing
Post is a good guide.
Lets say you only do maiden stakes, stakes, listed races and group races
( keep away from clamiers ) you then look for your 3-1 shots, personally,
i would rather it be the fav or 2nd fav in the betting forecast, then the next
price should have a gap of at least 2 pts and the next at least 3 pts, what
this says is that the odds compilers ( who study form ) are saying is, that
in their opinion the likely winner should come from that 3 ( its a matter of
self opinions - you might have your own )

The next step is to see how many paper tipsters have napped the selection
( personally, i would prefer to see at least 2 ) don't forget, these people are
paid well and they must try and supply winners as then their papers will
sell more ( who wants to buy a paper where the tipster has a poor record
of giving winners - watch out who are doing well too )

I once again hope that this is helpful - good luck

CountyKen Nice winners

What about this guys

Look through the card, You would look for no favs to come in the first 4 races, Basically you are looking to bet on the last 2 races of the day, as long as there have been no fav winners. so on the 5th race you would bet 10 pounds if the fav dont win, you double up on the next race 20 win, remember you only backing favs to win.. bookies have had a good day so they dont care if a fav comes up. plus we are dew for a few.a simple method and you dont need to know anything about horses lol

It also works on the greyhounds only back the last 2 races as long as there have been no fav winners,

There you go guys, you don't need to know anything about horse racing.

You have a free system from Indexgold, double up your stakes and you win.

My concern for you guys is this, which are true favs with a winning chance and
which are not.

Secondly, if the 1st 2 does not win, you are down by £30.00

Then the next day you stake £60.00 and it loses, you then stake £120.00
i wonder what happens, but lets say the horse wins at the same price of my winner
today - 4-6 - returns are = £200.00, your profit for that bet would be = + £80.00
But your total outlay would have been = £210.00 hence a loss of - £130.00
I now ask you guys, would you risk a total of 210.00 ??
If anyone does, Indexgold have found a gold mine system
nothing personal indexgold, the idea of doubling up is to to risky, where
does one draw a line is also a concern.

When i started to put up my advices, it was based on fun and at the rate of
£1.00 a pt.
And should a profit be made, we can look at it as a bonus, anyone would
testify to this.

Ken

You would not double up the next day. You would start fresh I should have pointed this out.

You only bet on a fav if out of a 6 race meeting, the first 4 favs dont win. You then place a 10 quid bet on a fav in the 5th race if that dont win, you double up 20 quid on the 6th race, that's it.

The next day you would start fresh. It work on the greyhound as well
