Asian Coronavirus Outbreak

You may be right. Years ago, The Economist magazine said that rising living standards and the education of women leads families to limit the number of children that they have. You can keep the guys as dumb as you want but when women get educated they choose to have fewer children.

They even made a movie about it.

The current life expectancy for U.K. in 2020 is 81.40 years, a 0.15% increase from 2019.

How many young healthy people were kept in lockdown to protect those over the age of 81? How much more life do they expect?

So from this, can we conclude that anyone that dies before the age of 81.40, on average, has died before their time?

How many people over the age of 81.40 years have died from Covid?
How many under the age of 81.40 years have died from Covid?

How many people over the age of 81.40 years have died from Lockdown?
How many under the age of 81.40 years have died from Lockdown?

There are plenty of ways that these stats can be sliced, diced and presented.

Given that the Trade Unions publicly state that they do not believe what Boris is telling them, then surely they must be labelled as conspiracy theorists, it sounds that they don't believe that the pandemic is coming to an end, how ridiculous, the government has told them to get back to work, to go to school and that it is now safe to do so?

Yet if Icke had been stating the same......

Surely anyone, including Labour and all opposition parties as a whole should be labelled as conspiracy theorists for questioning the government on it's statements and official output, surely they should be removed from all youtube platforms and never be seen in the media again with this sort of nonesense, they should be removed from parliament and only people that agree with the government should be allowed a platform?

People have had enough.

If you were in the Peak District (UK) yesterday, you would have seen a Bank Holiday response, thousands of people walking, cycling and parking their cars along the roads (because the carparks had been shut), not much social distancing going on there!

Can't see the current situation holding much longer, most are ignoring it now, apart from those at risk which I assume will still be trying to save themselves.

People just want to get back to normal and start earning money, and yet we still have a large proportion on Furlough for months ahead, with no guarantee of a job at the end of it, those that don't have access to govt money will already be desperately finding ways to start earning again and may be in a better position in a few months when the recession starts hitting proper and many are made redundant at the end of Furlough.

it’s called a civilised, responsible and caring society, NT. And given that most of them were sent back to their care homes to make room I’d be surprised if most of those needing to go on ventilators were that aged.

You can't be serious about that Jon. Forcibly keeping young healthy people locked up and ruining livelihoods is caring?

yes, of course, the stats are not totally reliable but we do have the incontrovertible stats that many thousands more have died than is usual over the last couple of months. Logic suggests that corvid probably has something to do with it.

Covid, the lockdown itself and poor decisions/policy making.

Looks like these two are having a 420 moment.

Just to keep the stats correct and in perspective, this is so for late March-April-into-May, but for the preceding months, Jan-Feb-into-March, it can be noted that many thousands less than usual died.

ok, NT, fck ‘em, let them die.

Not about letting them die.

What control do we have whether anyone lives or dies.

We should be given the information and let individuals make their own risk assessments. Bit like markets, when Government interfere with controls in area, it causes issues elsewhere.

Just problem displacement.

As before we should focus energy and resources on those who are vulnerable.

Especially in light of infections taking place at a higher rate indoors then out.

When NHS does return back to BAU there is going to be such an overload of urgent surgeries and cancer treatements, suffering is just displaced on to the healthy living, probably on those younger people who will lose out on greater remaining number of years to the average of 81 etc., than those who are there abouts or well passed it.

Too much good intentions trying to save all, whilst losing site of real misery and numbers imo.

Where is the greater good or lesser harm in all this faffing around?
