FTSE has been very strange today well under the sp500

i found that 1455.81 sp500 futures is a big level, equivalent to 5819 ftse.

this is 23.6 fib on es`u contract. above here it indicates sp500 is very strong.

5773 = equivalent 38.2 on es`u contract

where does the 5855 come from

FTSE range today currently 48 pts, think it almost did this in the half hour of options expiry

FTSE bounced off the buy pivot 8442 three times

Done well today. I count about 7 reasonable touches, depending on how long you hold for. You could have almost made that '8'.

My 'buy pivot' has been too low.

I have a line at 5851 which was resistance after 10:15 but it has generally preferred to go to the 38% retrace. After the expected bull run (might not have had wave 5 bear yet) I'd be looking for 5851 to become support.

work out the pivot on sp500 futures and figure out the equivalent level for FTSE100, it comes out to 5840, with yesterdays ftse/spy ratio 3.9977

5840 ? todays low is....

5838.86

ratio worked out by dividing the 50ma on one minute chart of ftse100 with 50ma on 1 min chart of spy/es`u

Unfortunately shorting the Dax didn't play out for me. Had to stop 3 trades, underwater 4 digits. 🙁

At some point I tried to hedge with Ftse, but this barely moved in comparison to the dax
