I don't get it. 2/8 you have a spike but the market continued upwards, I thought a spike indicated a reversal in the wind?

Yes it does look weird. My explanation is the move was driven by a higher time frame than day. I look out for spikes in opposite directions (such as on consecutive candles) but not individuals ones, although they generally indicate reversal.

A number of us are thinking it's going down from c5800.

If that proves right, I have 5775... if it hits that and doesn't go much further we could have a bottom pattern which could take us up to 5841 (or my fat-fingered 5834).
