Anyone scalping the FTSE Futures??

Just been looking at IG FTSE chart. At 5.21 the index rose eleven points over ten minutes. No corresponding rise on DAX and DOW. What could have caused this? must have taken a few stops out.

that is happening all the time, they have to trigger orders to make money.
 
GBP/USD fallen off a cliff now. This will push the ftse higher.
SP 500 just gets stronger and stronger. Needs a correction sooner or later.

everyone talking about a collapse in british pound. UK to be turned into third world country.

ftse took off as gbpusd plunged. must be some bad data.

if this goes on any longer we wont even be able to afford horsemeat
 
(Reuters) - The number of Britons in work hit a new all-time high late last year and the number of people claiming unemployment benefit fell much more than expected in January, official data showed on Wednesday.

The Office for National Statistics said the number of people claiming jobless benefit fell by 12,500 last month, compared to analysts' forecasts for a drop of 5,000 from December.

The number of people without a job on the wider ILO measure dropped by 14,000 in the three months to December to 2.501 million

(Reuters) - Sterling fell to its lowest in nearly 16 months against a basket of currencies on Wednesday before Bank of England minutes that are expected to reiterate a tolerance of higher inflation.

The pound's trade-weighted index dropped to 79.3, its lowest since late October 2011 as the UK currency hovered just above a seven-month low against the dollar and a near 16-month low against the euro.
