4450 is trying to hold but we need a bounce over 78 and 85 to stay with any scalp buys you might be playing with

Under 4440 would be more scalp sells
 
hey all .......still busy re work so no chance of making more pips on my 90 mins earlier 🙁

GBP went king kong bull London (finally) ......easy buys on GU

I would have switched to selling EA by 10am ish......long waits but the odd fast move ..including a cracking US selloff

EU was a Sell from 10ish as well (Euro under pressure since then)

USD has become a decent bull into us session

Cad got strong in last 2-3 hours ....Nice UCAD Sells 🙂

that's it ............follow the relative strengths / weaknesses of currencies gang .....that's my edge

GU

Popped back last 10 mins to look at charts again and set up

GU caught my eye rising and also coming up to an interim R level

So 5 27 pm - looked for a scalp sell at 4485 area

It teased up one pip and 5 29 pm it stalled at 86 and 5 30 pm - LR says - SELL

2 Mins later 8 pips down in a bull bias for now and 76/77 trying to hold

Classic scalpers stop hunt on scalp buyers exactly on the half hr and 5 30 pm

I bagged 7.2 pips - so know now we need over 87 and 92 to be scalp buying more - and under 75 and 70 to sell again

Always get the next clues if you can

Been a good day - not be on here much - so sorry about that

I hope you guys also have made some pips off EU sells under 1330 and 20 as well done well on the EAa and GU

Hey all ......another great week here it seems .....I did fine as well.....just would love to get more screen time in using the scalping systems I,have now developed

It's been over 2 years now I started to,specialise in scalping.....F,s work,really encouraged me to knuckle,down .....I do use some of his excellent teachings and methodologies but still have a high % of my correlation and strength meter work as my edge

Trading is a journey......as,you evolve you must research and experiment with what works,for,you.....over,the last,16 years I must have looked at hundreds of systems and strategies in trading forex as well as years studying on the basics before,that......the tighter you get to an edge the tougher it gets to find every small improvement....always work in progress

So,to,every one following this excellent thread.....

Keep,the faith.......you will get there in the end if you continue to persevere and learn

Learning to make money trading is a marathon and not a sprint......no quick,fix promises here...

Thank you N and really pleased its helped you review and refocus on your scalping and intraday - and agree pair correlations are important and again give you additional clues on what should be happening during the different sessions.

Because I have wanted to remain intraday FX trading ideally for 10 yrs full time - (on my 8th year atm) after my 5 years part time - i know I would not be able to keep up trying to take 30 -50 + scalps a day - too tiring and time consuming etc etc- especially over the age of 60 plus - I have had to adapt and that as lead to maybe complacency etc - as I no longer try and go out and have a 250 -400 pip a day and find anything between 8 and 20 trades over a 10 -12 hr session window is enough

I mentioned either yesterday or Thursday morning ( forget now ) I had taken 9 trades in 90 mins and normally - it would only be 3 to 5 in that time - but when the opportunities are there - grab them and where possible try and get some stops in profit to take the pressure off.

Maybe trying to get your 50 pip target every morning between 6 am and 8 am is placing pressure on you - but then again - some mornings with scalps on the EA or GA / EJ it can be a piece of cake. Ideally 6 am to 8 45 or 9 am is all you really need - and then you have the rest of the day off

Finally - as you know - it will never be easy every day - but like most skills - the more you do - the luckier and better you get ;-)

PS - must do another piece on "wrapping" ( not rapping lol) the GU yesterday gave traders plenty of opportunities to do that - even after London Close

Monday 15th February 2016 - Pre Opens

Good Morning FX Intraday Traders

I hope you have had a good weekend and ready for another busy week in the markets

Today is a Bank Holiday in the USA and so it might be slow this afternoon - even though we have some red EU news at 2 00 pm with Draghi speaking

So unusual Monday - and I am late as did not get up pre 6 00 am to be ready for the earlier scalps

EA as normal - moving well early and a scalp buy after 6 00 am - with me only joining in after 6 10 am at 5662 area - ideally we need pver 90 and 5700 to stay with it

Not around much again this morning after 7 45 am - but hopefully back for 90 mins before UK lunchtime and then lets see how the earlly afternoon is with the US off

In a Bullish PS above 4500 for me so on pullbacks would be looking for scalp buys

6 38 am from 4530 was a scalp sell

6 50am

For me in a bearish PS under 1300 and 1265 with supports from 1210 and 1220 trying to hold so far this morning

Under there was have 1200 and 1180 and 60 - if we dropped under all those interim supports - then I see a larger fall again.

To hold on to scalp buys above 1235 and 40 we really need to breach 1260 -65 area - otherwise we stay in the bearish PS

In a bullish PS above 127 50 and 127 65 - but we need to see above 128 00 and 128 25 to stay with taking more scalp buys

To turn bearish need to drop under 127 00 and 127 70 and then you would favour more scalp selling

EA as done over 30 pips for me on a scalp buy already and GU 6 pips off a scalp sell - but as you say market slow atm and US Bank Holiday this afternoon - but with red EU news after 2 00 om

Its a Monday - so go careful Sun

I am only here to 7 40 am UK time and then after 11 00 am to maybe 2 30 - 3 00pm

Hey gang

EA has been a peach 👍.....some 40+ pip move since 6am ....easy scalps ......only AU buy come close for my pairs ..that dude has offer about half the pippage

Topped at 5698 - so did not make 5700 and it started to go scalp sell at 6 59 am just before EO

30 pip fall in 3 mins - only caught 12 pips so far of that one
 
NU is the buy trade now .....I need to see if this is only a temporary glitch on the main trends so far or if normal service will be resumed in a minute

Morning N

Agree - and also nice set up on EA - failed to try over 5700 and the stall and turn just at 6 59 am - then a cracking drop - trouble is I missed half of it coming out buy and reversing

I have interim supports at 5645-60 - so would need under both to hold sells and take new ones for a larger drop

the London trends have consolidated big time ...........good if you trade them ...i'm sitting on hands at moment ...........NU only scalp buy at moment
