How about employing foreigners only to make unbiased decisions. The crazy situation at the moment of 2 parties fighting over which is going to steer "The Ship", is leading to a zigzag course. Even a circular course !

I like your analogy of a ship, although I would add that perhaps for the last 30 years, the two major parties have been taking it in turn to see who can steer us aground quickest. Or perhaps, one lot have been trying to steer us aground, and the other lot have been trying to steer us into the path of an iceberg. Since 2010, the Tory crew, realising that they didn't have enough crew-members to man the ship, took on board a bunch of idealistic work-experience students. This has had results pretty much exactly as you would have expected.

Now the markets have all the mandate they need to deliver the death blow which is of course long overdue.

Well the old biddy's overspending has come home to roost.
Massive rises in council taxes, not enough for the NHS, pensioners, education, roads etc. when there was adequate money before wasting billions on nuclear subs, high speed rail etc.
Her days are numbered.
