Trump Presidency and the Consequences

No. Only conspiracy theorists such as yourself constantly question those countries, also without any real proof, and others such and DB are interpreting left-biased headlines to suit his own agenda.

You have said many times you haven't seen any evidence where the chemical weapons came from, but why does any intelligence agency owe you that? Obama administration repeatedly said all chemical weapons in Syria were destroyed or removed. What bullsh**t. He was weak and ineffective. But Trump shows strength.

Peter

Show me the evidence and then tell me you have a slam dunk case and I'll believe you

Some people have short memories. https://www.washingtonpost.com/blog...-would-be-a-slam-dunk/?utm_term=.bec3f4980320

What I have trouble understanding is how much value you place on being perceived as STRONG or WEAK! Means not much at all to people 000s of miles away with no interest in the US.

What is important is not to be insecure about ones security but be happy and healthy. Each to their own. (y)

It's the cowboy mentality, unfortunately not limited to the US (think Falkland Islands and Crimea).

Nobody grows up, they just grow older.

I still haven't seen any substantial evidence on:

Where those chemicals weapons came from?

Who manufactured them?

Who placed them in that ammunition dump?

Who knew they were there?

Who were there intended targets?

No evidence. What's worse no one is doing any work to find out.

It has been concluded by the US and by inference and indication that Syria launched the chemical attack from the airbase.

Confusion reigns over regime change in Syria.

Russia is bogeyman for supporting Syria.

If Assad goes, it's going to be another free-for-all in Syria, much like Iraq and Libya.

Then it'll be Iran's turn. :whistling

Time to remember lost ones.

One for you WackyPete... Have a open heart and mind.

All the best and Happy Easter to you all.

Peace, Love and Truth. :)

You have to ask, are there IS fighters in Afghanistan?

They may as well bomb Mars for them...

PR tosh so the military can test bunker busting bombs and replenish them.

Finally, I think that's what they should have dropped on that airbase if they wanted to prevent fighter jets from taking off.

You've got to ask why drop it in Afghanistan on supposedly ISIS fighters???

Yanks must be so gullible. Defend ISIS against Russians in Syria and drop bunker earth destroying bombs in Afghanistan.

Yep I buy it. I'd like that with some maple syrup on top please.

KABUL, April 14 (Reuters) - As many as 36 suspected Islamic State militants were killed in Afghanistan when the United States dropped “the mother of all bombs,” its largest non-nuclear device ever unleashed in combat, the Afghan Defence Ministry said on Friday.

Wow. 36 people. I guess we can all go home now. And it cost only $16 million. For 36 people.

U.S.-Led Coalition Mistakenly Kills 18 Militia Allies In Syria.

Oops.

1. First the KEY word is suspected? No judge jury or trial here. Simply hearsay.

There are civilians, militants, combatives and terrorists. Used to be called guerrillas in the past fighting for one thing or another.

BUT to kill 36 people just on what may be termed sus laws, dropping a mega bomb clearly is a display of power. Wow. Are we not impressed?

2. Then there is the value intelligence business. Why not pick up some of those 36 suspected militants and interrogate them see what they offer up. I dunno send'm to guantanomo bay and make some use of the damn place. Nope no value in what cities ISIS going to blow up next. Move on. Nothing to see here.

Even if Trump is making a 180 degree turn on his electioneering promises and delivering quite the opposite of what he'd say he'd do yanks cheering and clapping at the display of power and strength raining big bombs down on poor people who maybe wondering what on earth they did to deserve these bombs.

3. I once again suggest that these US weapons have a certain shelf life.

If they don't get used, someone will have to pay to decommission and pay for certified disposal, protecting national state secrets. This all costs money. Lots of it.

Then that missile will ultimately require, replacement or upgrade with a more advanced type. That's another possibility if one thinks about the back end.

So it is much easier to just drop these bombs in other stateless countries and let them sort it out. Or even better, send in Dick Chaney's mob to clean it up and charge them for disposing toxic waste ecologically by contracting it out to Chinese companies. ;)

Behind the scenes there are many businesses and accountants rubbing hands with glee at renewed business and chance to make some big bucks.

4. It's equally plausible that some drug traffickers paid money to a US big cheese to take out the competition and show some muscle. Something like 60%+ of all drugs come to Europe from Afghanistan. It's just business. Why have two hoods and doubling of effort when one can just deal with one producer and have them indebted to you. You capiche? See!

We'll never know. US Government simply says they've killed some suspected militants and have done with it. Like the goose that just keeps laying golden eggs for the military to sweep up.

Let's think about it for just one short minute before all that overwhelming POWER grips your hearts and minds. US is GREAT again. Thank Trump for that. :cheesy:

WASHINGTON ― In a spate of local elections last week in Illinois, Democrats picked up seats in places they’ve never won before.

The city of Kankakee elected its first African-American, Democratic mayor. West Deerfield Township will be led entirely by Democrats for the first time. Elgin Township voted for “a complete changeover,” flipping to an all-Democratic board. Normal Township elected Democratic supervisors and trustees to run its board ― the first time in more than 100 years that a single Democrat has held a seat.

And the beat goes on . . .

Donald Trump’s true believers are losing the faith.

As Trump struggles to keep his campaign promises and flirts with political moderation, his most steadfast supporters — from veteran advisers to anti-immigration activists to the volunteers who dropped their jobs to help elect him — are increasingly dismayed by the direction of his presidency.

Their complaints range from Trump’s embrace of an interventionist foreign policy to his less hawkish tone on China to, most recently, his marginalization of his nationalist chief strategist, Steve Bannon. But the crux of their disillusionment, interviews with nearly two dozen Trump loyalists reveal, is a belief that Trump the candidate bears little resemblance to Trump the president. He’s failing, in their view, to deliver on his promise of a transformative “America First” agenda driven by hard-edged populism.

"Donald Trump dropped an emotional anchor. He captured how Americans feel," said Tania Vojvodic, a fervent Trump supporter who founded one of his first campaign volunteer networks. "We expect him to keep his word, and right now he's not keeping his word."

Earlier this week, Vojvodic launched a Facebook group called, “The concerned support base of President Trump,” which quickly drew several dozen sign-ups. She also changed the banner on her Facebook page to a picture of Bannon accompanied by the declaration: “Mr. President: I stand with Steve Bannon.”

"I'm not so infatuated with Trump that I can't see the facts," she said. "People's belief, their trust in him, it’s declining."

The swiftness and abruptness of Trump’s shift from bomb-throwing populist outsider to a more mainstream brand of Republican has taken the president’s stalwarts by surprise.

“It was like, here’s the chance to do something different. And that’s why people’s hopes are dashed,” said Lee Stranahan, who, as a former writer at Breitbart News, once worked with Bannon. “There was always the question of, ‘Did he really believe this stuff?’ Apparently, the answer is, ‘Not as much as you’d like.’”
