Im so woundup and worried now because as you all know i use time as 1 of my key advantages in trading, if a positions in a loss i can always leave it abit for time to pass and the pullback to come..

However i got stuck into an oil short on friday evening cos i fell asleep!!

I got in at 142.89 at £2 tick, but the contract expires today, so now i no longer have time on my side, and i have to close it today for teh best possible outcome i can get today...

Overnight the market went down to the 142.50s, and so i would have been £80 up, and my ftse long would have been £80 up earlier too, which i would have been very hapy to take as almost a whole weeks earning!!



However my sb doent allow any traidng after hours, and so i just had to sit n watch as it withered away to over £200 loss on oil at mo, and only £50 on ftse!!


I just hope now that oil pulls back more today and that the brazillian strike, iran stuff and weaking dollar are already priced in..

I take it you don't believe in the use of Stops or Targets then....

I have general targets just above certain support levels that i watch closely when they are being played with, and i do use stops for certain markets when its appropriate...

This oil trade i dont even remeber getting into it though i was drifting in and out of sleep so much!

I have an extremely different view to most people on here about the use of stops as being beneficial to you making money consistently in the longterm, but am tired of debating it now, and so just let everyone trade teh way they wish and let the results and cash profits withdrawn back to the bank speak for themselves. :cheesy:

The markets are basically my whole life now though as they are my sole remaining interest due to certain stuff in my personal life.

Only traded for about 2hours tihs morning and made £84 for today which i was happy enough with so closed there for the day.

Also, I know you won't listen to me (because you don't really have a written strategy) but...

at least consider setting times for when you will trade. I.e. 8am - 4pm trading times only. I find this really opens up spare time. Also, as you stated ages ago you mainly get profits during morning times. Maybe thinking about not trading afternoons?

So thats £302 pure profit for today on my account of now £2148, and with £2 tick for 2 trades, £1 tick for other 2 trades!! :cheesy::cheesy::cheesy::cheesy:





That oil trade i made the £236 from i was using the biggest stoploss i could get with my capital, but it was only at $153...

I got in just below $145 at £2 tick, i then went out fo breakfast n haircut, but while i was out the market went up about $1.5, so at 1point i was harvesting a loss of over £300...


If id used a tight stoploss i would have lost my money + been out of the market, and so would need to make money back just to break even for the day!!

But instead i just let it roll and rolled into a nice £236.. :cheesy:



If i had the capital id have put my stoploss at $1053, not just $153 just to be extra safe, as like it was said in the ftse swinging thread ''Its all about likelyness''!!

Is ftse more likely to hit 7000 before it goes down 50more points to 5150??

So is oil likely to hit $1000 before it goes down $2s more??



That is why even if you all claim i will 1day go bankrupt.., why i am making so much % profit every single day, day after day on my tiny little capital account!! :cheesy::cheesy:


And so thats the reason why so amny people are following me and my style of trading, cos it actually does what the standard normal method that everyone else told them didnt, it makes them consistent moeny every single day.., and has me to prove to them that it does actually work, unlike everyone else on here who may have traded longer than me, but still cannot actually show them with proof how they can copy them and so make money!! :cheesy:
