Every correction down had bounces up, but 1440 :-0:-0:-0

With current average volatility at 17 points per day you should expect at least three bullish sessions and two flat session to get to this number. If we have at least one negative session then the rest four should be positive (by assuming 17 points per day up or down) :?::?::?:

Yet, everybody has the right to have his/her own way...

umm, 17 points per day?
ok
close this past Friday 1411 ish
3 days up and 2 flat would be a 1460 ish friday.

1 bear day with 4 bull would be 1460 ish again.
I may have a bit more room than you think, maybe.

Not knockin' just saying.

Agree, was too fast from my side. My apology.:eek::eek:

If volatility remains the same then you need
0 bearish - 2 bullish - 3 flat
1 bearish - 3 bullish - 1 flat
2 bearish - extreme rally up

P.S. Usually volatility goes down during up-move and increases during the down-move. Yet, there are exceptions.

In intermediate term, I think that S&P 500 will plunge to 1,300-1,330 points...So, now, I am short selling IBM, KO, XOM, AAPL, DIS

Bud

Hard to tell for next week.

I think it's a given that we'll see 1400, but whether it breaks or bounces up is harder to tell.

Hmm... I'll go with flat, but vote for down with 1410.
