I once went down one of those things in a pair of nylon speedos without realising the mortal danger i was in. Half way down, the water got a bit thin - the friction burn hurt like hell and singed a hole through my speedos. I couldn't get out of the pool for ages...
1) because my butt cheek was on fire and
2) because i had a hole in my speedos the size of a 50p piece showing my butt.
