No fair spread betting...we can't do that over here!

And why ?
well the bounce is well above the support line indicating strength. But gotta watch it closely and grab any profits quickly.

Out for a small profit
The gurus are talking about a drop to 1340. We shall see.

Paulson's drop of 9% is indicative imho

He holds gold mainly. Lost 51% last year, on one of his funds.

He made billions on gold betting against the sub prime c*ck-up.

Someone thought that was because broker muscle, like Las Vegas casino muscle in online poker, bought enough political power to protect their cosy empires. I don't know if that is true ?

Did you really get in at the very bottom of that little swing?
Going in the wrong direction?

Real question, why did you get in when/where you did?

It looked like it had topped out. Still had a bit to go though. I have a bad habit of jumping in too quickly. Often I am right shortly afterwards though, but not in to collect.

This is what I mean. Indicators look good and I am expecting a bearish day.

How do you see it hw ?

Not having looked too closely other than for the weekly contest, I really can't say.
After, Friday I would not expect much to the down side today, at least in the first half of the day.
But then again, it looks like you might be going after smaller swings?

Good thread. :)

Looks like Friday's support towards the close has flipped to today's resistance. Very range bound from the open in the first couple of hours, which says breakout mode. I'm watching carefully - breakout pullback or strong breakout pause, as long as it looks like a few are trapped on the wrong side by the pause.

Me too. The pundits are talking down to 1320/40s first off.

Sometimes I quite like watching a longer time frame and then exiting on a shorter TF for bigger swings.
