Hello everyone

Lets talk about this "new" company called Prospreads.com

Its another offering from the same bunch that gave us futuresbetting .com and the other one Capital spreads ... All part of London capital group

So if you are using Prospreads please tell us all about it. I am really interested in their claims Vs the reality of their service especially with regard to execution of orders , prices etc
Tell me anything usefull if you are using them to trade.
Thank you.

I'm also interested on any info on prospreads.

For instance, does their level 2 data come at a fee or is it free? Do they do daily cash markets? What's the rollover cost? etc, etc.

They seem to be targetting people with my kind of strategy and it's comforting to know that they do hedge evey bet and don't route any of the bets through to a live dealer... although they are quite expensive if you're a beginner (minimum of £10 a point on FTSE100 LIFFE, with an initial margin of £3.5k).

Offsetting that they are offering 0.5 point spread if you do less than 200 trades a month and 0.25 point spread if you do more.

level 2 is free. They only do futures as far as I know, but I think they're adding spot forex.

Can the mods move this to Spread Betting, since that's what they are?

Prospreads are futuresbetting.com renamed.

The only thing I can see different on their website is that they've dropped the references to automated trading, their API, and Ninja Trader. This is a real shame.

Yes, everything they say is pretty good, if you just need to make a deal and can fit in with contract size, liquidity etc. Proper automated trading would make them a lot of money.

Dropping the very things most customers probably need/want hardly seems clever. It's hard to see why anyone would sign up now when the effective 'commission' rate is so high.

They're were very good when it was FuturesBetting, I assume they still are. I can't use them now as I they aren't supporting NinjaTrader. I've been told that NinjaTrader support may come back soon. If they support NT7 (due for release soon) then I'll re-open an account with them.

Who told you it was coming back? I very much doubt it. They weren't prepared to just fix the API a year ago, and made some noises about supporting some other automated platform, but it's been very quiet since then.

Fixing Ninja API would have been so simple - it was 95% there already. The only conclusion I can draw is that they're not so serious about the 'serious' trader, and just want to play the 'serious' trader line to pick up a load of new (losing) business. Which is strange, because successful automated traders should be their ideal customer....

Sorry for jumping on an old thread but been traveling, they dont offer daily cash indices, just futures, they do offer spot forex as well now on the currenex system, ( very good and tight markets). The margin required for intra day trading is a 5th to what they advertise on their website, so for Ftse future it would be £700 per 1 lot ( intra day )

Hey, i'm sneha here,i agree your thinking.............

Hi ProSpreads

Do you have any plans to offer equities, if so when please?
Can any form of automated trading be connected to you trading software?

Cheers
