You may need to enter something like LIFFEZ3
For ES you have to enter GLOBEX:ESZ3

Give it a go it may well work

the symbol is LIFFEZZ3 (or LIFFEZH4 for the next contract)

NOTE: you can enter the symbol into TWS then look on the end of the description column to see what the symbol should be. The description column for this symbol shows:
DEC03 Futures ZZ3

Is there a way you can annotate charts in QT, eg. draw lines and add text?

Also, I had a look at your link to the Money.net feed and it appears there are two feeds. One for the data ($12.99), the other for backfill ($5). Is this correct that I have to get backfill data separately?

you can draw trendlines - just click and drag. Don't need to hit any menus or buttons. Cannot add text at this time.

Money.net - If you are subscribed to the Level I feed, then backfill is $5. If you want to subscribe to backfill only, its $7.

If you get both Level I data AND Level II, Backfill is included for free.

Is it possible to alter the charts so that you can toggle between them (probably with CTRL-TAB).

I have multiple charts open, 4 in front and 4 behind them.

On other packages you can CTRL-TAB to go from the front chart to the one behind which doesn't seem possible on QT.

the CTRL+TAB works in MDI applications (where you have one container window and other windows are inside it). QT does not use MDI. Will have to look if we can kludge it

I have just added the VWAP line to my charts and do find it very useful.
I work with someone who uses e signal and they have an add-on that gives them MPD lines. They prove Very useful for turing points. They are

VWAP + MPD
VWAP - MPD

VWAY + yMPD
VWAP - yMPD

Is it possible to get these or add them on.

MPD = (High of Day - Low of Day) /2
which is added to and subtracted from current vwap price

Anyone encountered this problem?

I am using QT for UK stocks, with ADVFN free data feed, however i can't access the quotes through QT

I get the message:-

Reasons: Running
If you haven't done a WebUpdate lately,
now may be a good time to do it.

I get connecting.......running....logged in but then no further

I have done a webupdate but that didn't do any good....

I can access the data feed using Internet Explorer with the same username and password i am using with QT.

I am behind company firewall but as long as i don't time out, things that connect to the net are usually okay

Anyone have any ideas?

Yeah, I have done but just thought i'd copy here just in case someone had a similar issue

Can you explain this pls.

I'm looking at today's 5-min chart of MXIM, the time is 4.30pm GMT and yet the chart has two points at 6.20 and 6.30!
I'm using Money.net as a feed and the charts are ok on their site.

no idea. bad data coming in - delete those bad points. If you still get them, email me the following files so I can look at what is going on:

STOCKS.INI
PORT.XML
CHARTS.INI
CACHE\SDATA.DMP

Send to the support email (you will have that option under HELP in QT)
