One could be easily be very unimpressed by FTSE's response to Wall Street.

I think it's very difficult to argue a positive case for the FTSE at present - though I'm biased of course.

however the dax seems to be holding up very well

What have the Germans got that we haven't got

My original thoughts were that the Dax and Dow were going to suffer a lot more than the FTSE. The fact that the FTSE has rolled over first (I'm still assuming it has) will probably mean the decline in the UK market is less severe.

I'm happily day trading both the Dow and Dax and riding the up-moves along with the down. However, I do believe there's a lot of pain ahead for those two. I wouldn't like to say which of them will go first.

Seems an appropriate moment to put up my channel chart.
The bottom line is currently at 4300. And is part of the reason I
was expecting another low today. To have bounced up from that
would have told us a lot about the state of the market ?

However it was not to be. So we are left not knowing whether
there really is any support there or not.

Looks like tomorrow will be an up day but that may tell us nothing either.

a near doji candlestick today with close holding above
the previously mentioned long candlestick support. This
should call a halt to the down move and augurs well for
upside action tomorrow.

Hate to forecast the market and probably shouldnt stick my neck out.
But the action since the low yesterday sure looks corrective.
So an up move tomorrow looks to be a 'c' which will fail to make a new high !

But back to my 4360 does look on the cards.

Even though it looks corrective, there is something that one may think is a double bottom.
In which case the projection would be around 4380+
Looks equally possible on the charts.
