EliteTrader VS Trade2win

Those are indeed salient points, but thry are not all that you mentioned. You did indeed mudsling saying that "I don't give a monkey's toss about others." Attacking the person instead of stating my viewpoints and countering them.

I read many of the top 20 posters here. Just looks at the members page. If I am hard-core right, then you are hard-core left along with 16 of those 20. 16 people does not sound like a lot until you see how they comprise ~15% of all posts.

Newtrader, wackypete, texasrangersfan have a somewhat similar view on capitalist laws.

I consider myself conservative but I don't fit into any box.

I used to call myself Republican but they moved too far to the left. There is not too much difference between the Democrats and Republicans these days.

I consider myself a Jeffersonian Idealist (Thomas Jefferson)........'the country that governs best, governs the least'.

The values that I believe in are not Republican or Democrat, I consider them Natural Laws given by God. 'Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness'....

We should stop labeling "socialism" or "capitalism" as each means 11 different things to 10 individuals.

Precisely why it is so frustrating trying to have a logical debate on T2W. In my experience on T2W, those who argue against Capitalism have about as much understanding on the subject as the average man in the street. I would have expected that “traders” would be a little more educated about economics , history and current events(!) but it’s not the case. The people here are minimum information [comment removed] whose arguments can be summarised with one simple slogan; “Capitalism is greedy”.

“Increase taxes on the rich” said the spread-better...

“Anyone interested in making a lot of money is greedy” said the Forex trader on a quest to find a profitable trading robot.

There are only single ideas, about how humanity should conduct itself. Each those ideas should live or die on their own merit.

Benefit to the individual vs society, which should prevail is determined by careful analysis.

Lets get rid of the labels.

 So how's the weather in your part of the world?

Almost 100 percent of traders on this forum trade technicals only and have no idea what's going on economically

There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know.

There are things one knows to be true, but are in fact, wrong. Knowing can be a false assumption.

There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know.

There are things one does not know but takes it on faith and believes one knows it to be true. ie Faith in God.

But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know.

Stuff in italics belong to Donald Rumsfeld. Bold stuff is stuff his ego couldn't get his head round and could be dispensed with.

1. Everybody knows some things about many things. 95% distribution of the total live here. ie Never eat yellow snow stuff. You and I we live here.

2. Some people know many things about one thing. 5% distribution of the total live here. These are the experts and even, experts can be challenged and facts disputed with emotion. Christopher Columbus lived here and he brought the bacon home to prove the fact risking his life and that of his men. However, they were bribed handsomely well.

3. Nobody knows everything about everything. 0% madness. Darktone lives here. :cheesy:

4. Some things know nothing about everything. They simply exist. There are billions of these. They are called amoebas.

Many people have prejudices, by virtue of aligning them selves with a group of people or body of knowledge because it resembles them or their thoughts, are devoid of paying attention to any other thought or concept and do not believe, choose not to believe or simply unable to comprehend what may be presented to them in facts. imo Hitler lived here for a while before blowing his brains out. Sadly, he failed the Charles Darwin's theory of a natural selection. Surprisingly, maggots and worms have a higher score of intelligence than he did in the survival league tables.

What a delightful day it is. That's a fact some may call it an opinion. (y)

Just my tuppance worth chaps. :)

"I used to call myself Republican but they moved too far to the left. There is not too much difference between the Democrats and Republicans these days."

Yeah, that Trump guy is so far left he's a real hard core Commie :)

"Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness...." have nothing to do with "god", they are self evident truths to any decent person.

Otherwise, I agree with you :)

Agreed. Things have become all about the party instead of all about the country. When did having national pride become such a crime that is vilified by people like the ones who spend far too much time in the Next President's thread. (You know who you are)

I like JFK's quote, "ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country."

Everybody wants hands out from the government. Give me this program, that program, regulate this, tell Twitter to ban Trump supporter, thus curbing free speech... Other countries have national pride and we don't call them racists. Germany's motto is Deutschland über alles - Germany above all. Protectionism is not a bad thing. You should want to protect your country's culture and take pride in it whatever your views may be.

What trader does not want to make money. Only an unsuccessful trader would moan about capitalist greed. If you got it, you are not complaining.

These are also many of the things that we have forgotten about in the UK.

I agree with you re: Republicans sounding all very well and commie like with their bring back jobs and raise wages but just a small caveat; that's if you believe the spoken word of the politician.

If you don't believe or it is shown to be otherwise then not much has changed.

For example if it's the top 20% who benefit most from the tax cuts and
The 80% get little or end up paying for in the years ahead and
If lower paid jobs don't increase in number or wages then Republicans are true to their colour.

The wall has become a fence.
Mexicans will not be building it or paying for it.
The fence will be protected by extra guards, dogs and air surveilance.

Hope the people will be happy with that. At least they get something for their votes.

With politicians, one needs to look at what they do, not what they say.

T2W has much more interesting other than trading threads and of course a competition where there are cash prizes.

One is a mental instituition with more professors than te doctor scene in movie " one flew over the cuckoo's nest" and the other has leopards and Hares.

t2w has winning traders and elite trader has the elite

One has the agenda of Sponsor's and vendor's forum with all the members as customers , the other operates on what agenda , it is not clear to anyone

There is very little new stuff on Elite. The only thread of interest is the jokes one.
I suggested a competition but no answer from Baron.
Most of the few contributors are Republican Trumpites.

Hi fl,
I'm surprised to learn that you think T2W's agenda is unclear - as it is spelt out at the top of the About Us page. For your benefit and anyone else who may not have seen it . . .

"For more than 10 years, Trade2Win's mission has been to support and unite traders across the globe. We provide an environment that enables our members to converse with one another, share their knowledge and express their views. Furthermore, we seek to provide educational and thought provoking content to help better educate our members in their trading careers."
Tim.

Hi Tim

The point I am making is my understanding of Elite's business model:Support the vendors and sponsors at any cost , even to the extent of driving sucessful traders away from the countless new threads (these are time consuming for traders to waste time on) , and opening new (useless for real traders with the repetitive garbage content) threads to put on a show to the sponsors , that they are working hard for sponsors. It is quanity of advertising impressions , wether they are relevant to sponsors who knows. This is where Elite is :So many posts/ topics are about getting money from sponsors.

T2W :Aim Advertising revenues .I think the sponsor income is smaller , looking at this site .My impression by looking at the site and content , you are trying to create long term advertising revenue model with the better content and manager based model , without driving away traders.

That is my view of how I see both sites.

I looked at BBmac threads and the content was quite good .At the end of the day , the niche of a site is the content , when the content becomes so similiar , especially with the free net search engines , the niche better quality content will always draw traffic.

That describes futures.io more than ET, where you can actually criticize vendors without being banned. I think ET has a good balance in this regard and I acknowledge it is not an easy thing to allow people down talking your vendors whom actually pay your bills.

But it is a failure on your behalf to understand that these websites are run as a BUSINESS and they weren't created for the advance of society or free public expression. If the content is helpful and entertaining for traders, that is very good, but the underlying goal is to make money for the owner.

Would T2W stay afloat if it was losing money? I don't think so.

Money talks and money makes the world go around .The content complaining about a broker , from a member is deleted , because the broker is paying $30,000 a year or likely to become a sponsor .Get 17 sponsors and you have money $500,000 a year.It is all about money and doing everything on the forum , to please brokers .The members are worthless and they pay nothing.

Get own stooges to start threads like FOREX IS VERY PROFITABLE , FOREX MILLIONAIRE IN 6 WEEKS or ANOTHER THREAD LIKE FOREX WILL MAKE YOU RICH.................which succesful trader has time to go a forum like this and be bombarded with such crap content ,I never ever met a real trader on E T , just the losers and the part of the 95% club.

I did expect accomplished traders to hang out on elite trading forum , but there were just losers ,failures , scammers , learners, amateurs , retards, dunning Kruger traders (they believed they were competent), incompetent traders , unqualified mentors , unsuccessful traders who had failed at trading and started offering educational courses , trend trading educators ,price action educators /vendors , prop shop failures and marketeers ,signal sellers , brokers selling services ,option course sellers , indicator sellers , software sellers , automated systems , charting services and vendors who are polluting trader's threads with biased marketing to traders.

What is there to learn , other than their products are succesful and great.

What is there to learn ,

How do you know who is profitable and who is not on trading forums :sneaky: :-0;
Assumptions can always be dangerous.

But I do generally agree with the fact that basically 99% of traders are not profitable, or just barely keeping their heads afloat.
Like everything in life...only 1% of any given group are actually Really successful.

The ultra really successful rare traders don't hangout in online trading forums though...I'm mainly thinking about the Japanese CIS trader ...and another Japanese BNF trader...and American Dan Zanger.
