Put me on your ignore list. What you see is what I am. Some like it. Some don't. I've been told before that I am polarizing. It is what it is. I can't win everyone's acceptance.
lol

yup - I think the T2W servers will need a few more terabytes for HC's ego...
What an insult DT.I come here because my wife says it makes me less argumentative in meat-space.
Doesn't count as bullying when it comes to those who want to extract money from newbies HC.
It's a public service.
As for people engaging with me - I don't come here for an ego massage. It is neither a popularity contest or a beauty contest. Of course, if you are selling something, then such numbers must mean a great deal.
For the nth time, I am not currently selling anything to anybody. If I go through with my plans, I will get a vendors badge.
Your self-image of public service so much reminds me of politicians who think they can make the rules for the rest of us because of your superior whatever. Of course, you in the UK have so much more experience with this than we do in the US. And we are in the process of rejecting our leadership who want us to have more of what you have.
I'm glad your ego remains unbruised that hardly anyone else challenges your bullying, obfuscation and obstructionism. I guess that will be my public service, even if I don't enjoy it or want to do it.
Dont knock it Mr C, if you were over here you would probably have got your trek desk through the NHS!
America is Fascist actually, not Socialist. Your not rejecting your leadership at all, Wall street just paid for the Republicans recent campaigning, so go figure. Your Tea Party has become a joke, it should have been a beacon of light to the world, but it sold out like YOUR politicians always do which is why you are in two un-winnable wars right now and your congress is writing blank checks to Wall Street every 6 months! Honestly, look at home before you bang on about the UK.
Once again...http://www.wfmj.com/global/video/fla...lv&rnd=9740124

When I was 12, I thought it was really cool to use long words. I used to look up lengthy adjectives in the Thesaurus when doing my English homework. Eventually my English teacher pointed me in the direction of a piece written by George Orwell (http://xahlee.org/p/george_orwell_english.html). In essence, his point was that if you can use one word instead of three, use one.
Howard, you talk like a 12 year old trying to impress a teacher. I suggest you read the attached link and then maybe attempt to make your statements more concise going forward.
Lodian, it can be "simple" but it doesn't make it "easy". Some moving average crossover systems work well over time on a variety of markets, but there will always come a stage when it starts to lose money - that's the tough bit.. sticking with your model/system/approach through the losing periods.
It's definitely a long journey, but in a way that's what makes it interesting.
The key is not to use the crossover as the entrance signal but as a bias for which way you should be trading. So, a bullish crossover, look for all areas on retraces to get long.
Yes, you have to be careful with this. I'm a trend follower and use averages for trend but the xover, itself, is wrought with traps in the form of whiplash moves which are very dangerous because they accentuate the fact that they, like all indicators, lag.
I've not yet studied this in depth so this question may be naive.
Like you, I find that cross-over techniques are not a sufficient filter for indicating direction change. I have experimented with building hysteresis into the decision to change directions. Are there any specific sources you would recommend to help me further develop this strategy?
Pardon my lowbrow mentality, Howard, but I don't have a clue as to what "histerisis" is and I can't be bothered to reach out for the Collins that I keep at hand.
Please don't you bother to explain because I do not need it.--I told you that once before in another thread. You do, however, need to write more understandable English if you are going to debate something so fundamental as crossovers.
