Is the only way to get to know the market before placing a trade is to watch the indicies? What specific sources of information did Wyckoff use in keeping informed with the market?

Wyckoff was a tape reader. He watched the order flow of stocks and determined strength or weakness.

Price and Volume Relationship

I would like you to comment on Price and Volume Relationship. As stated on the following Tutorial:
Combining Price and Volume to Predict price movement (Part 1)
At the above link Tutorial, S/R plays out well on volume. Do you find it reasonable on Forex pairs that is not centralized? Does Forex which is not centralized have accurate volume to trade? Most times small volume usually break out S/R level and sometimes big volume bounce off the S/R level. How do you see the price and volume relationship on S/R level. Do you have any good tutorial that will address it on Forex?

The only accurate Forex volume is that which the institutions have on their customers' orders.

There are commercial spot FX volume accumulators, but their data is typically so out of whack with each other they do a good job of invalidating themselves.

Most brokers will provide you with their volume data if you really can't live without it, but Wyckoff as an approach was never intended to be utilised on Spot FX. That market didn’t even exist for him.

I'd further suggest Wyckoff probably wouldn't use the Wyckoff method today either - he would have adapted to the massive changes in market structure in the 80 years since he last placed a trade and be doing something very different.
