The DAX confirmed a session of consolidation interior the lower end of Tuesday’s range forming a new inside day with 6880 – 6590 the levels to follow in the coming hours. A break of the support will lead to further direct weakness toward the 6500 area The indicators of the daily chart are still well negative as well as those of the 4h one. Only the indicators of the hourly chart already returned above the line supporting the present rebound. While above the gap up 6699 – 6681 we favour an extension of the correction toward the 6750 area but the real attraction is the 200 hours line at 6846!! We wait for higher levels to go short! DAX Analysis 03/09/2012

The DAX confirmed a strong closing while interior the inside day with 6880 – 6590 still the levels to follow in the coming hours. A break of the resistance confirmed by a daily closing will re-launch the move up!! The indicators of the daily chart are still below the line but those of the s/t ones are all well positive suggesting higher levels, especially while above the 200 hours line at 6846. In the hourly chart we have however overbought condition and potential negative reversals; however on the way down it failed to confirm bullish divergences suggesting it was just an undershooting. DAX Analysis 03/13/2012

The DAX started well bid this morning confirming already a new high above 6975. The closing last night was strong but only a daily closing above 6975 will confirm higher levels. The indicators of the daily chart are however still below the line but a closing above 7000 will turn them up supporting higher levels. Those of the s/t ones are instead well positive this morning supporting higher levels. In the s/t it is possible a closing of the gap up area toward 6924 where we expect now good support. The move up above 6975 confirmed a positive reversal n the hourly chart suggesting a s/t target at 7396 and a daily closing above 6975 will support the move up! Read more Stock Market News

My Dax levels for today. Pls see report attached.

Dax broke 7888 & pushed through 7930/33 but failed just below the next target of 7988/96 at 7977. A drift below 7914 today should find support at 7880. We could see a low for the day here but failure then targets 7841 with better support at 7819 & what could be a nice buying opportunity today.

Resistance is in the 7977/88 band but a break above 7996 could take us towards 8045 today. Above here see 8073 & then the highs for 2008 seen on 2nd January at 8180.

I day trade mostly the YM contract, but due to time conflict I'll probably have to trade the European session in the next few months. So, I figured out the DAX would be probably the best contract to trade.

Question for the experienced DAX traders:

Beside the opening at 08:00, are there any specific patterns during the day? For example, YM has high activity in the first hours after the pit open (09:30), then slows down ahead of noon and picks up again around 1 PM (NY time).

Are there a lot of stop hunting activities in the DAX during the first hour of trading?
