Country Ken's Tips and racing discussions

You are rather a killjoy Mister MayoMan.

Ken is obviously devoted to horseracing and even though his staking plan leaves a lot to be desired, he is ahead of the game.

Anybody with confidence in Ken's tips can formulate their own staking plan to capitalise on Ken's ( and his relative's at the yard ) obvious equine knowledge, skills and inside information.

Carry on tipping Ken.

And by that I don't mean refuse, I mean horses.

Benny,

Either you know very little about the game, or you are having a laugh.

CK's selections are formulaic, inside information, yeah right.

Mayo and C-ken have an ancient feud that reaches back over two other Forums, and no doubt over decades; probably in fact for centuries their ancestors will have done battle in the bogs and beanns from Killala Bay to Croagh Patrick.
Terrible and sinister foes the origin of who's conflict is lost in the annals of equine history and who's resolution will probably not occur until some distant heirs as yet unborn ride steaming steeds furiously down Leopardstown Racecourse in a 2 horse race to determine the winner or die.

My money is on Ken.
Seems a good chap to me whatever the (banned) pickled Gibbon says.

MM, YOU KNOW NOTHING, LOOK AT ALL YOUR POSTINGS

ALL THEY DO IS - CRITICIZE, WHERE IS YOUR GOODNESS

I DOUBT IF YOU EVEN KNOW THE MEANING OF IT

My only criticism is your staking plan Ken.

It is reminiscent of Joan of Arc's staking plan.

But your knowledge of nags is unsurpassed my friend.

Peto, you could end up with a small fortune backing CK's tips.

To achieve this, you should embark on the odyssey with a large fortune.

.

That is rather unfair MayoMan.

Ken is ahead on his bank balance.

The only problem that I can see is that it is not a "get rich quick " scheme.

You could get rich using Ken's methodology and staking plan but you might have to live to the ripe old age of approximately 1,568, by which time inflation would have nullified all the gains, the polar ice caps would have melted and the world would be 50 feet under water.

Might have to start backing sea horses.

However I would have thought that your performance would be enhanced thanks to having god on your side, your Holiness?

At least Ken has cheated the bookies of any profit so far, an achievement in itself over so many bets, t'be sure!

Peto,

If you regard not losing as an achievement, carry on achieving, old boy!

To quote the famous words of CJ, who for the uninitiated was Reginald Perrin's boss :-

" I didn't get where I am today without having God on my side."

Bad luck today Ken.

I note that your bank has once again gone below the starting point.

In fact it has never gone much below or much above the starting point since you began this thread.

Apart from having fun - and quite frankly I cannot see how a break-even strategy could ever be classed as fun - may I ask what is the purpose of this thread ?

Is it merely to demonstrate to potential punters that the whole exercise of betting on horses is a pointless waste of time ?

Or am I perhaps missing something rather deeper here ?

To be quite honest - and honesty is paramount in my profession ( so they tell me ) - I could never see the point of risking your hard-earned money on the sprinting abilities of 4 legged beasts with brains the size of a cashew nut.

No wonder most people lose.
