Ref laying horses

Hi

Just wondering if anybody Lays horses on the exchanges as opposed to backing them?

If so what methods do you use to pick your horses, open question I know but just interested

Thanks

Hi Timaru,

As for the backs, its for all who has a choice to back or just
observe.

P.S. As for the backs, its more based on fun and if a profit is made
it will be looked as a nice bonus.

As for lays, its me personally that does it on a serious manner
And if anyone who chooses to follow me do so of their own choice
I am not responsible for any losses incurred.

Bear in mind that i only have a few lays, as to when there will be
any, i really don't know as i have a method or call it a system
that picks the lay only when everything is in order to have that
lay.

I hope this has helped

Countryken,

Your ratings & stakes from the past few days:-

No. 2. VIKING SPIRIT -------------2.5 pts win - rating = 7/10
No. 5. QUDAR ----------------------1.5 pts win - rating = 61/2/10
No. 4. VILLARRICA -----------------2 pts win ---rating = 7/10
No. 9. TRAFALGAR SQUARE - 3.5 pts win -- rating = 7/10
No. 4. GRINGO ------------------- 5 pts win ---- rating = 8/10
No. 2. EMERALD BAY ----------- 3 pts win ---- rating = 7/10
No. 7. BOLTON HALL ------------1.5 pts win -- rating = 6/10

Your staking system seems somewhat arbitrary. From your ratings above, you have four horses rated 7/10 and different advised stake for each, 2pts, 2.5pts, 3pts and 3.5pts.

Would you care to elaborate on your staking methodology?

It is rather difficult to praise ethereal and rather wispy things which may not exist in reality.

Most religions manage to do exactly that. At least followers of Ken stand a chance of the odd windfall, unlike the followers of say Rev. Moon.

You are correct Peto in what you say and might I just add that any windfall from Ken's tipping would be very odd indeed based on current form.

But yes, maybe it would be a better idea to use the Sunday collection money for Ken's tips rather than donating it to the Vatican's coffers.

I might just have to indulge in that age old trick of placing my empty hand in the collection box whilst surreptitiously knocking the bottom of it with my other hand to make the coins within rattle.

If anyone doesn't win anything as a result of relying on Countryken's magnificent picks it is because there is something wrong with the racetrack, the gardeners should do something about it, too slippery.

Had a sleepless night working this one out. Too deep for me.

Ken's tips should prevail in the end. It's inevitable if we have patience.

According to the formula w = (a+v)/b + (a-v)/d , where 'w' = wins; 'a' is your win ratio; 'b' is the average odds for all winning horses over any given season expressed as an integer, and v d are variables calculated by volumetric triangulation of Ken's historical statistics.

So clearly we can welcome a few losses at this stage because that increases the odds that of winning in future.
