Brexit Remain Rage

Just watched Gove the Stabber of Friends giving his pitch for PM. He's as convincing as a failed Acting 101 student.
It's not only the outright lies and half truths the politicians have gone into turbo overdrive with the last few weeks, but the arrogance that makes them think we are all idiots and they can get away with it and still retain even a smidgeon of credibility.

on second thoughts, yes, I do :)
lol Jon!

Theresa May has said that if she becomes PM she's appoint someone to head up the Brexit talks. So, she could appoint Andrea Leadsom in the role - which might be a good compromise. Works for me!
Tim.

Is there anyone left in these green and wet islands who isn't angry with our politicians?
Roll over, Machiavelli, you're a rank amateur.

Incredible isn't it. People have waited donkey's years to kick the establishment on various issues. It just so happens that the toxic mix of our own establishment and an even more alien establishment in Europe presented themselves in a One off opportunity.

It's a bit like planetary alignment, doesn't happen too often. :)

Spanish ones are hard to beat, mate. Look into the Pujol Family in Barcelona, Then we have Barcenas (sorry, not a politician---just a simple treasurer for PP), Rato, who was a vice president in Aznar's government.

These have got caught, though. It's the ones that don't get caught that are the best. :)

""I don't want to make a comment about the UK leaving but I think they may leave based on - I'm there a lot, I have a lot of investments in the UK and I will tell you that I think they may leave based on everything I'm hearing."" :whistling

Well, that part is certainly true anyway. I would not go so far as to say "nothing", but very close to it. :p

Are you more sure or less sure about the new conservative leader than about Yellen not raising interest rates?

Oh boy, we get a 1/4 point rise supposedly 1 of 4 planned for this year and you think it's the start of a new trend? I think there's a greater chance Yellen will be cutting it before we get a further rise.

30 years of free and easy money since the mid 80's = 30 years of tightening on the other side. Problem is, we ain't even started yet, still battling the deflationary pressure, still printing money, still no inflation, still no wage rises, still a fall in price of manufactured goods.

Rate rises indeed ! It's for the birds.

Although there are 5 candidates, the bookies only have this as a 2 horse race and their odds are based on MP support for each candidate. If the candidates all fall away, there will effectively be a coronation for May as leader. However, if the contest goes down to the tory membership vote and May, Leadsom, are the 2 contenders, then a completely different outcome will be delivered.
The membership vote will be decisively in favour of the Brexit candidate. And that is how Leadsom becomes PM.
