Flu season is just about over.
Numbers are out aren't they?
What we have to look out for all the other deaths due to cancellations for cancer treatment, surgery and numerous other consequences of a global shutdown, shortage of medicine and hardship and the like.
The whole thing smells rotten in many respects. ie Numbers don't add up.
Is that because we have been so smart and quick to respond preventing deaths or simply because other than a usual above average influenza outbreak not much has happened here?

In terms of the virus, there are now countless doctors/epidemiologists reporting that this virus is doing nothing out of the ordinary.
The difference with this pandemic is that the response is doing/will do much more harm than good. Virus's that are allowed to run their course don't mutate. Virus's that are blocked from running their course do mutate. So the very fact that we have all these misguided interventions will make the virus problem much worse and the length of time it sticks around much longer, mutating as it goes.
There are still vids out there from real (bemused) experts in their field, but a lot have already been removed. The reason they have been removed should be perfectly obvious. They go against all Govt's action plans thus far and there ain't a hope in hell that the Govt's will take the blame for the situation they have created, even when they realise they have fkt up royally.
The correct course of action should have been to put all resources into properly isolating and protecting the vulnerable, ie the elderly and those with comorbidities, whilst everyone else goes about their business.
Govt fk ups are many and varied, but this one must be up there with the best of them 10/10.
So there are only two possibilities. Either this policy is a total shambles implemented all over the world. (unlikely that all Govt's could be so stupid) or Govt's all over the world have another agenda in play.
My money is on the latter!

Try telling the beleaguered hospitals and mortuaries in New York that it’s all a hoax, but you’d better stand back when you do. ‘Course they are suffering all the more because Trump was slow off the blocks with his ”just flu” and “all be over by Easter“ stance. Perhaps other governments were a bit wiser.
Rather than keep pointing to the “empty“ hospitals why not mention those that are bursting at the seams in the hot spots. If those “empty” hospitals remain so then why not just be relieved as you would be if the swollen river didn’t burst it’s banks and test your home’s flood defences. Maybe governments have over re-acted, maybe they haven’t, but the die is cast and we’d be better off talking about dealing with it rather than moaning about it being wrong.

I'm not calling it a hoax. On the contrary, the virus is real.
The question is "the response". This is just the Coronavirus but it was no different over Brexit and a great many other topics.
Just who the hell is in charge these days! Weak, talentless MP's forming Govt's, then being lead up the garden path by pseudo-experts.
Journalists who simply aren't doing their job. They are supposed to investigate, report, inform, ask the questions that Joe public don't. Nay, they go much further. They miss-quote, they omit facts, they cover up, they cave in when ordered to do so.
It's pathetic!
I've been watching Trumps daily briefings for a good while now and it's clear to me that he knows that the world has been had. He's gonna come out all guns blazing soon. He's just getting started with the repercussions on Coronavirus, but this all follows a theme. From the start he declared that it was time to drain the swamp and he's not wrong about that. He's at war with the media, the institutions, socialism, Govt etc.

There is a reason why Trump calls it the China virus. There's a reason why he dares blame China. There's a reason why he has suspended funding of WHO.

I can't accept Trump's opinion on a scientific matter, so he's a very poor support for your argument. As for his use of the US intelligence services, these are in disarray owing to his biased and self-serving autocratic behaviour towards them.
