Market weather forecast for mon 17th September

We have a strong weather front to the north

This could push down covering the north of the country with rain which could be heavy at times

As we go through the afternoon the winds may pick up from the west carrying this band of rain in an easterly direction

This would make for a reasonable afternoon/evening except it will probably remain cloudy in the north.

There is always the risk that we get it completely wrong…we will update as more data appears. No flood warnings are in place

Long the FTSE in Asia at 5886, aiming for 5909 in the session to catch up with ASX price.
Decide the stop in first 15 mins of trade.

5874 (dow minus 65) looks like good entry to play dow/sp500 strength

no meaningful data today, so mondays tend to be weak for US markets

just a reversal play - it seems none to keen to follow through on it and I'll turn it into a pair with dow long if we get back above 906

paired now - poor dow entry though at the end of a little burst of dow strength

watch VIX today, if it goes above fridays high 14.71 would flash caution for indices.

Morning barjon

Might be a Monday when the FTSE just grinds very slowly higher.
Then at some stage wipes the gains out in a 1/4 of the time.
Thats my guess.

Dow/SP500 are technically very strong SP 100% bullish, Dow 78% bullish, on other hand you have very low VIX and dollar strength.
