Dow is currently sitting around its 200 day moving average.
Thats going to be hard to break given current conditions.

Placed my first NFP using an Option "synthetic".. a strangle on both EURUSD & GBPUSD expiry next Friday.

mmmmmm.....are these market makers up to the same tricks...supress the price...monster rally? If I had to I would go into NFP LONG. But I don't trade into news events

The move was in the Dow.
Up 70 down 130, now up 60 back to pre NFP levels.
If your using stops you have a 50/50 chance of being on the right side of these moves. So your gambling.
Taking into account spread / margin your gonna get wiped out.

I think it was more the case of IG turning off the volatility computation in their Options in times of such announcements to prevent people profiting from limited risk option pairs.

Wiped out trading non-Options yes, but Options don't have stops, that's the whole point - I know my max risk the moment you buy them...

Averaged in at 636.5.
