no deep significance. for instance when the ftse was at 5737 minus 27, this was equivalent to dow being unchanged,

so today i shorted dow via ftse when it showed dow +50 and closed ftse when it implied dow minus 40ish

significance is that it gives a line in the sand from which to trade around, bit like the buy/sell triggers

RIO down 3.3% making 4 mth lows (economically sensitive maybe warning about chinese hard landing)

back up would make for some heavy lifting, BP needs to reverse 1.3% and BLT/RIO got to go up 2%/2.8% can it be done? need a lot of help from GBPUSD

Noitce today GBPUSD double bottomed almost in the same 5 minute as the ftse made its low.
