well your not alone bj i haven't had a great week either ...i had some thoughts on your system and wondered if trend angle might help? i attach a chart which i'm sure you will understand ...the thinking is if the ftse angle is greater than the dow then go with your signals ...if ftse angle is lower then call a halt? (assuming the signals are always ftse long dow short)

the angle is usually determined early in the trend in fact today's low maybe a good indicator for the coming week with a higher low on the ftse daily.

of course it's 2 thirds of 4 ninths but today the ftse has a low which (lower channel line) indicates a possible slower rise than the dow (steeper channel line)?

i know...always easy in hindsight

NFP good news was good news.
Guess we grind higher again next week.

I'm sure Japan's bond market will give us more entertainment.

China data over the weekend and they are closed for the first 3 days(dragon boat festival)
ASX close on Monday for the Queen's birthday weekend. raise a glass.

Having a hit on the FTSE/DOW, which we all know is part of trading.

If you saw more variance in the next session, would you take the trade.

Or wait after taking a lose in the previous trade.

Just started the FTSE/DAX comparison for the year, FSTE now under performing the DAX, first time since 4th January.

FTSE/DAX looks promising, but want to follow for 2 or 3 months before trading it. so helpfully I can find it's intricacies.

shows the trend from tuesday to thursday going into non farm payrolls on friday
downtrend was broken and a new uptrend formed into nfp
trend continuation

we can see the bounce from support,which was a previous resistance area/purple
there is trend res/red line at 1650 area...that could get tested to see if the bulls are still there
then there is ho5rizontal res above
this is bull test time ...next week
thinking..... DURRR !!!!
watch for those res areas to get tested/bull tests next week
we need to see good bounces off support aswell

30 min data shows the main downtrend that started on 29th may
trend res at 6450-6465 area
prev supp/purple lines at 6500 area

uptrend supp/green line at 6340 area
horizontal supp at 6285 area
lets see what happens
