Pboyles banned.

Unquestionably the best member of T2W. Who knows how many people, and how many thousands of pounds, he has saved from the clutches of scammers of all types. Boiler rooms, crooked brokers, educators, system vendors, the list goes on and on.

Let's face it, there is no-one here with at least a little experience that doesn't realise that the vast majority of systems vendors and educators are simple con-artists. Yet they are indulged and allowed to remain as members.

They add nothing to the site. They spread lies and inhibit the progress of those who wish to learn. Pboyles performs a genuine public service and helps to teach the single most important lesson for those wishing to learn how to trade, and he is gone.

I assume that this stems from the recent episode which dare not speak its name. I understand that the mod who enacted the ban may feel like he had little choice, but it must stick in your craw to have to dispose of someone like pboyles to protect the vendor in question.

Whoever you are, I urge you to watch the video on their homepage. It will make you want to vomit.

A sad, sad day for T2W.

my condolences to pboyles

I strongly urged t2w to follow the model used by Google Blogspot and Amazon. When comments or threads a edited or deleted for that matter; there will be a comment there saying it was deleted; and by whom. It does provide context to the discussions.

sadly; I have now downgraded t2w one notch; from AAA to AA for allowing this process to happen this way.

T2W has been BB for a number of years. I don't see any sign of a default yet though.

Shame about pboyles although not surprised if this is a Slapshoddy thing, after all, vendors rule around here.

Temporary ban I hope?

Wtf? What did he say/do?
Surely t2w will reveal his offending statements? Otherwise it will breed conspiracies.

As far as I can tell, posters were politely asked not to start a new thread. Within one hr of this request he took it upon himself to challenge it and started the new thread. Sorry guys but he only has himself to blame.

I have only 1 question about the subject then I will remain silent like an obedient t2w member.

t2w mission statement: About Us
For more than 10 years, Trade2Win's mission has been to support and unite traders across the globe. We provide an environment that enables our members to converse with one another, share their knowledge and express their views. Furthermore, we seek to provide educational and thought provoking content to help better educate our members in their trading careers.

So, the question is how does deleting entire threads that contain discussion, experiences, and factual information help to further along the mission of t2w to "better educate our members in their trading careers"?

Certainly removing individual posts that can be considered not in the spirit of the mission statement or that are along the lines of being libelous without basis or merit is an acceptable action to take.

Members never seem to understand that they have individual responsibilities that go alongside their posting privileges.

I don't believe for a second that T2W operates in such a way that curtails free speech, far from it in fact, but very occasionally certain actions have to be taken which not only go some way towards protecting T2W but also go a long way in protecting the members themselves. Of course, the day may come where an individual poster will completely overstep the mark and get themselves into all kinds of legal bother.

So I have a question for you. Why do keyboard warriors (we have lots of them on T2W) feel the need to hide behind proxy IP's in order to avoid detection and possible repercussions, if what they post is 1) the truth, 2) defensible, 3) not libelous, 4) not defamatory, etc etc etc?

cheers cv.

WTF??

Pboyles is like an unpaid moderator in my view.
The ban isn't permanent, all the same, I think its about time all
user advertising and the general vendor badge thing was scrapped.

Blanket ban for everything, yes not all vendors are equal.
Mr charts and Dinosaurtoast to name two off the top of my head are ok in my book.
Overall though, the whole vendor system here is a stain that is turning this place
into a joke full of crapola scam threads promising to turn £10 into £3M...
Sorry but thats how I see it.
Its getting worse on a monthly basis too.

User gudelines aside, its the posters Pboyles and others flag up that are the problem.
If I was running this site that is what I would do, otherwise
T2W might as well be renamed

None of the above will happen of course as it no doubt impacts on revenue.
That is the truth of the matter.

On the contrary guys , i would upgrade t2w because of this news ! , it means nobody is above the law including pb , the guy had a nice good start but after he gained some audience he started to spam every thread with his posts , i appreciate what he was doing but not like this its not funny anymore , its like a stand up comedian who keeps repeating his jokes ! anyway it is a temp ban so no harm done .

Just my 2 Deutsche marks

(n) Boylsie's gonna be missing the daily death threats he receives due to his little timeout(n)

It's a shame really but hopefully he will return from the ban with the same amount of dedication and continue to expose the many frauds that pass through this suite of forums spreading the madness.

On a more postitive note and as The Scambuster is absent, anyone wanna buy a system a produced just this morning it plugs straight into your pc. (see pic for the one I made earlier)
Only one available per week day, more available at weekends depending on food/alcohol/substance consumption:love:

(y)

The current state of t2w.
Here we have a guy creating several VERY similar threads on Trend Following all in the same forum, then he pushes his book in his last post (without a vendor badge!), and another guy who is speed posting 2-sentence responses to as many threads as possible in the shortest time.

well it looks as though the bannings have left a vacuum big enough to drive a bus through.

and look whats arrived on the no47! bus loads of positive reviews for ltg, those with info to counter such postings are conveniently banned!

i guess little surprise there after they get the main thread closed down and have a new may launch in a new scheme. the clue's in the deleted thread (n)

announcement:

i stand by the principle of free speech; and hereby will abandon trade2win until this banning business is stopped; and pboyles is back.

sorry comrades; NO more posts from me past this one on t2w; until changes are made

I will be reading posts from time to time; but will reduce the frequency; as i am utterly gutted.

am now in search of other platforms in the web; where traders can speak freely.

if changes are made; please PM me so I revisit this site again.

take care

People like that rarely last long and they are usually not registered as vendors.

I think something needs to give, here.

If you look at BMT, the forum owner posts there every day. I get the impression the owner of T2W doesn't even visit. That leaves a bunch of unpaid mods to police the site and to tell him when the sands are shifting.

If you rag on unpaid people for the way they carry out their voluntary work, then I reckon they will quit in the end.

There aren't actually a lot of mods here, not in comparison to the constant stream of garbage peddlers. So who can help them mod? I can't, I'm a vendor, I can't be trusted to edit/delete other people's posts.

How about other members? You need to be fairly moderate to be a moderator but people like PB, despite how much I like him, he probably wouldn't be a good mod as he's not in any way 'moderate'. Same for Hare, Leopard. Choccy Biccy etc. Their views are too far to one side (as are mine).

I think the board needs a crisis. Something to change the model. I don't see Sharky doing anything or even recognising when something is needed. First he'll see is when the advertisers pull. At that time, it might need a major repair.

very sad.

I wonder if we all start posting bad reviews would the reviews thread get removed or just our individual posts? Wouldn't be any more or less fake than the current multi poster who conveniently drops a link in the review thread to the latest scam and lives to tell abut it.

I was just having a dig at t2w.

I agree 100% on that. However, I'm guessing it wasn't a voluntary mod action that removed an entire thread. A mod was either told to do so, or more likely it was done by an admin who we are constantly told can't do those things.
