Your favourite quote.

looks like we are doing the opposite

ironic to post such a quote at this hour of the day lurker

That was the intention FW. I'm puzzling over why we all seem to be up late and relatively inactive, therefore posting on T2W. I did think the above was rather amusing regarding the circumstances (and it could be construed as applying to trading)!

I really can't afford to be wrecking my sleep pattern at this point. I should go to bed soon.

Wise words Laptop my friend, wise words. Or should that be foolish words, that they may become wise ? :)

Footprints in the Sand

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed
he was walking along the beach with the LORD.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets of
footprints in the sand: one belonging
to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.

He noticed that many times along the path of
his life there was only one set of footprints.

He also noticed that it happened at the very
lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he
questioned the LORD about it:

"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow
you, you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when
I needed you most you would leave me."

The LORD replied:

"My son, my precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."

It is amazing how much people get done if they do not worry about who gets the credit.

If you're not embarrassed by your offer then you are almost certainly offering too much!

might not be the correct thread

"A traders job is to identify patterns in the market's behaviour that represent an opportunity and then determine the risk (or cost) of finding out if these patterns will play themselves out as they have done in the past"

Staying in a trade because you already have “so much invested in
it,” emotionally and financially, is like following your old girl-
friend around even though she’s now dating an NFL linebacker.
Eventually, you’re not only going to permanently lose your old
girlfriend, but you’re going to get your butt kicked.

Trading would be easy and a lot less scary if we could isolate JUST ONE condition, rule, setup - that worked all the time, no matter how remote it may be. Unfortunately I have yet to come across one myself, or any other person who has achieved this discovery for themselves.
