47 young?? I pass that one on to my daughter (21) who when last questioned on this subject opined that anyone over 30 was effectively dog food. Maybe I'm being unfair and it was cat food.

Perhaps they should have a ban on anyone under the age of 60 being in the military. That should stop major wars.

It is the leaders of a nation who send their militaries into combat and not the young hot heads you are referring to who are to blame. In a dictatorship, military members are usually conscripted so it is the commander in chief who is to blame. In a democracy, the voters are to blame because they won’t vote in some of the smaller parties who would go to war only if their nation’s safety were at risk.

A military is a tool just like any other invention. It can be used for good or bad. It is the user (commander in chief) that determines what type of use it shall be.

I hope you aren’t advocating for the UK to completely disarm like Tibet tried doing, now, are you?

Things will change in the future however as robots of all shapes and sizes will be doing the fighting against each other. Once the losing country has all it’s robots blown to pieces it will have to surrender or have their citizens themselves as the next targets.

Yes you are right in national cases. The situation of the middle east militias and Isis etc. is really what I was referring to.
From far away it looks a bit like an endless supply of youngsters battling away for who knows what.

• Lean down to tie up boot laces
• Shoot a target at 400m
• Carry a GPMG
• Carry 50Kg of kit plus weapon and ammo
• Run 1.5 miles in 11 minutes in boots, March 8 miles with webbing and weapon in 1.5 hours, and pass a bleep test
• Perform a firemans carry, leopard crawl, assault course
• Drive all manner of vehicles
• Get promotion
• Breathe through a respirator
• Have to wait longer for a military pension
• Operate cyber wars
• Spend months in the jungle/desert/frozen poles
• Dig a shell scrape, patrol for days on end with 2 hours sleep per night
• Handle all manner of mental challenges that life hasn't already thrown at you

Very factual, however to most Westerners, it sounds harsh apart from the porno instead of an*l sex, what about A* sex or *I sex or just good old straightforward AI sex?
