Why most proprietary firms trade on NYSE?

Most of prop. daytrading firms trade on NYSE. Do they have some benefits for adding liquidity to market? Main source of income is volume rebates?

most prop firms daytrade via ECN's due to the liquidity provider rebates. NYSE still quote via specialists who rape you on fills.

id settle for rape on the nymex in ny, trouble is they go for rape with extended buggery and drowning u at the same time....you guessed it, im learning why they dont want their pit electronic in any way out there........
