Why do they do it?

You're confusing me TD

keep it simple. This is how I calculated it, tell me where I am going wrong. The total gain should be +1269.5% shouldn't it, assuming a starting balance of £1000?

-14.42 ----- 0.8558 ----- £855.80
208.06 ----- 3.0806 ----- £2,636.38
57.53 ----- 1.5753 ----- £4,153.09
-17.11 ----- 0.8289 ----- £3,442.49
1.92 ----- 1.0192 ----- £3,508.59
18.67 ----- 1.1867 ----- £4,163.64
68.99 ----- 1.6899 ----- £7,036.14
-25.71 ----- 0.7429 ----- £5,227.15
88.12 ----- 1.8812 ----- £9,833.31
-31.49 ----- 0.6851 ----- £6,736.80
23.35 ----- 1.2335 ----- £8,309.84
64.81 ----- 1.6481 ----- £13,695.45

According to his equity chart his balance is not £13,695.45, it is just under £10k. Remember he took his initial deposit out in July...

Hi New_Trader,

The exact starting balance was £999.50 on 1st May 2009. It moved as follows:

May 2009 ----- £1,038.24
June 2009 ----- £908.30
July 2009 ----- £777.30
Aug 2009 ----- £777.30
Sep 2009 ----- £1,889.80
Oct 2009 ----- £2,977.01
Nov 2009 ----- £2,467.77
Dec 2009 ----- £2,515.27
Jan 2010 ----- £2,984.77
Feb 2010 ----- £5,044.86
Mar 2010 ----- £3,747.50
Apr 2010 ----- £7,050.06
May 2010 ----- £4,829.69
Jun 2010 ----- £5,957.50
Jul 2010 ----- £9,511.45

***************************************************************

Jul 2010 ----- Withdraw £1,985 (inc. £15 payment charge) ----- £7,511.45

I assume maybe I made a mistake somewhere with the percentages, whilst I was trying to short Cable, bid for Gold, explain to a room full of people my reasoning and toting up my returns on a solar powered calculator in the darkness.

Does that include Bertie's stint on board The President at £5000 a pop?

As I've stated before, I would have happily paid 5K to see dunces locked in a cupboard or tied to a chair with a bag over their heads

The thing about Mr Socco though is he actually does know what he's talking about.

trade2win is lahk a bahx of chahcolates , you never know what yor gonna get.

LOL, that's why we love T2W.

I rather wish they'd unblock him here... although whether he'd return...?

OK. I think I've done this correctly and I don't see a +200% anywhere. This is why I am always skeptical about % returns. A 100% gain is a doubling whereas some might use 200%...not saying you did!

£999.50 ------ Gain/(Loss)
£1,038.24 ------ 3.88%
£908.30 ------ (12.52%)
£777.30 ------ (14.42%)
£777.30 ------ 0.00%
£1,889.80 ------ 143.12%
£2,977.01 ------ 57.53%
£2,467.77 ------ (17.11%)
£2,515.27 ------ 1.92%
£2,984.77 ------ 18.67%
£5,044.86 ------ 69.02%
£3,747.50 ------ (25.72%)
£7,050.06 ------ 88.13%
£4,829.69 ------ (31.49%)
£5,957.50 ------ 23.35%
£9,511.45 ------ 59.66%

Total ------851.60%

If I've done something wrong it's because I've got 3 gorgeous blondes pole dancing in my living room vying for my attention while I'm trying to figure out if I should go short or long the ES.

Given this some thought.

I wonder why, apart from you few delusional types that keep coming over here because you can't get enough traffic to keep your interest on the other site, nobody seems to share your view?

Nobody that was here at the time, none of those that paid him for his courses. Nobody. Not even the press has a positive word to say for him.

As a site traffic generator (hence my irony comment on a post a few weeks back where you brought the subject up :cheesy:) there were few to match him. In that respect, I'm fairly certain t2w would welcome him back.

As would I. There are none that come anywhere close to bringing out the best in me...

Of course some people (especially at "the other place") would see this as more evidence of his genius

For the benefit of people like me who would never read those sorts of threads except when alerted to lulz, I have located it here: http://www.trade2win.com/boards/for...6426-trading-elite-club-t-e-c-discussion.html

Currently on a lulz hunt through it...

Arabian, you are going to have a field day, buddy.

The highlight for me is the spammer that consistently posts "make sure you login to my room" in between rants from the extremely irate people that purchased Chalmers system.

Also check out the CCJ that has been issued!

Hi Bedsit,

I was just reading your recent post. Please let it be clear that I am in no way sticking up for the vendor here - I am appalled by some of the things I am reading on the Paul Chalmers thread.

However, I don't think the fault is in the newbies for thinking "It's been bad for 2 months, better give it some more time..."

Just because results have been bad for 2 months does not mean they will continue to be.

In my opinion, it depends somewhat on the strategy that is being implemented and any vendor should be upfront from the start (especially if they are a signal service) of what to expect in terms of results.

Hi trader_dante.

To be fair I’ve never read through all the thread.
Only thing I’ve noticed that the vendor was there at the beginning - posting a bit, then when the system started failing somehow he became posting shy. That’s all - the followers are still following and hoping though. Hopefully the system may start performing one day - best wishes to them.

Some of your threads are the only vendor’s threads I’ve read through. My impression is that you are one of very few vendors who can trade as well. I understand you need to defend vendors in general, but I don’t think it’s a great favour to would be traders whose greed is exploited by different kind of vendors.

Sorry man.... tried to but it was too slow for me...

Maybe you could link highlights? ;)

Its rather simple, as you demonstrate time and time again, the majority are dunces.:smart:

It would be great to have SOCRATES back but the people I really miss are Connie Brown and TheDegrees, they really brought the best out in me. Unfortunately they were banned and like SOCRATES, they never returned to this site under a new nickname. I suppose they all have real pride and the dignity, unlike some clueless lowlifes who simply can’t stay away and instead keep returning under a new nickname and sleaze their way back into T2W. You have to feel sorry for these deranged hypocrites.

Ah, not the one I was thinking of. What do you reckon of this:
http://www.trade2win.com/boards/trading-journals/101770-forexmorningtrade-journal.html

Started in Aug 2010 by a vendor with only 75 posts to his name. It now has an incredible 371,968 views. Is someone running a bot to get the view count up?
Haven't bothered to read much of it. The last few posts seem to be newbies.

If it's not a lucky streak - what is it ? ?

You show these huge percentage returns but also tell us that good traders can still be poor. If you can make 1000%, you have no business being poor. You should be rolling in cash. People would be beating down your door asking you to manage their money.

Your pot was less than 1000 quid. Once you took out your stake - you had zero risk and you must have taken plenty of risk.

Is this unsustainable or do you just not have the mental fortitude to replicate this with larger sums? Serious question.

All we seem to have on T2W at the moment are a bunch of Holy Grail merchants and those 1000% returns are very grailish dotchathink?

Perhaps I'm just a sh1t trader with my 'tread carefully' approach. Maybe I should be going for 10% a day.
