Do you guys buy on Monday and hold till the end of the week?

I don't think anyone here actually does just that (if I'm wrong speak up!). This thread is mostly for some fun, however the thread starter, Pat, does exceptionally well!

We pick the direction before the US markets open for the week and get 1 point for the correct direction up/down plus a podium finish points for the nearest also. If you can post charts and reason for your pick so much the better.

Looking at a weekly and the obvious psych 1400 level, 1425 area from May 2008 looks like the next area of congestion.

It's slighly frightening to think that it ain't that far off the 1570 top from 2007. Just goes to show how much USD devaluation has been priced into the equity markets now.

I think a valuable lesson is here to be learnt and that is that indicators lag. They are great in a trend but way behind while oscillating. Hopefully we can do better next week

Tough one this week could easily pullback but I still see the longer term trend as up and these pullbacks have caught me out before.
