Sweden finally joins NATO TODAY: What the accession means for Stockholm, its new allies... and an unhappy Vladimir Putin

  • Sweden becomes the 32nd member of the security alliance upon its accession
  • Stockholm broke with a two-century-long policy of neutrality to join the bloc
  • The move also marks the most significant expansion of NATO in decades

A research opinion - if it annoys...eh, tough .... look for a high bridge
----------------------------------------------------
NATO
  • Process-driven: Countries apply for membership and go through a multi-step process that emphasizes democratic reforms, military interoperability, and consensus approval from all existing members.
  • Focus on shared values: NATO emphasizes shared values like democracy, human rights, and the rule of law. There's no pressure to join, and countries must meet specific criteria before being invited.
  • Transparency: The process is transparent, with clear benchmarks for membership.
Russia
  • Less Formal: Russia's approach is less formal and more opaque. There's no set application process, and membership often hinges on close political ties with Russia.
  • Focus on Sphere of Influence: Russia often pressures former Soviet states to join alliances seen as restoring Russia's sphere of influence, raising concerns about coercion.
  • Limited Transparency: There's little transparency about the terms of membership in Russia-led alliances.
Here are some additional points to consider:
  • Military Integration: NATO emphasizes military integration among members, while Russia's alliances focus more on political alignment.
  • Collective Defense: NATO offers a strong collective defense guarantee, meaning an attack on one member is considered an attack on all. Russia's commitments are seen as less certain.
Overall, NATO's approach is seen as more transparent and rules-based, while Russia's approach is seen as more opportunistic and potentially coercive.

Election influence - within the checks & balances of congress whoever comes out top hat will have a major determining impact on the conflict - that is, pending the conflict does not terminated with a possible (not conclusive) Russian victory prior to top hat day - this obvious - however, it appears members of the tall conical hat society are in constant need of clarifications. Reading between the lines and common sense intuitive deductions appears an asset too often lost in translation for said esteemed members.

Joe Biden to propose massive tax raid on super rich and corporate America in tonight's State of the Union address with sweeping hikes including minimum corporate tax up from 15% to 21% and a 25% rate for billionaires
  • Biden wants to raise taxes to cut the federal deficit by $3 trillion over 10 years
  • He is targeting billionaires and companies worth over $1 billion
  • Republicans in Congress could block his tax plans

As exception - in emulation of above - but has bearing -

Each society deals with its decadent shit in it's own way -
reflection: capital punishment - inclusive of the death sentence - across all categories of crime, reinvented may pay societal safety dividends.

No doubt victims of their own perversions - however, societal innocent protection is paramount -
suffice to say, the civilized ruthlessly sacrifice the perverse for the innocent, the uncivalized ruthlessly sacrifice the innocent for the perverse.

Here the US and increasingly remaining Western leanings -

Is this the most repulsive woman in politics? After a Kentucky Democrat shockingly proposed giving pedophiles 'child sex dolls', painting THEM as victims, KENNEDY demands her resignation and asks: Why DO liberals indulge every sick fetish?

Russia will not leave war crimes, such as strike on Belgorod, unpunished — Putin

Independent unbiased research - it appears a spade is a spade and the pot is blacker than the kettle

Attacks on civilians in the Russian invasion of Ukraine

During the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Russian military have carried out deliberate attacks against civilian targets[1][2][3] and indiscriminate attacks in densely-populated areas.[4] The United Nations Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine says the Russian military exposed the civilian population to unnecessary and disproportionate harm by using cluster bombs[5][6][7][8] and by firing other weapons with wide-area effects into civilian areas, such as missiles, heavy artillery shells and multiple launch rockets.[7] As of 2024, the attacks had resulted in the documented deaths of between 10,000[9] and 16,500 civilians.[10] The Ukrainian military have also been responsible for some attacks on civilian targets. On 22 April 2022, the UN reported that 92.3% of civilian deaths were attributable to the Russian armed forces.[11]

On 5 July 2022, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), Michelle Bachelet, reported that most civilian casualties documented by her office had been caused by the Russian army's use of explosive weapons with wide-area effects in populated areas, calling it "indisputable".[12] By 30 June 2023, OHCHR assessed that 90.5% of all civilian deaths were caused by such indiscriminate attack, and that 84.2% of them were recorded in Ukrainian-held territory.[13] El País estimated that by March 2023 the Russian forces were firing at a rate of between 600,000 and 1.8 million shells per month.[14] By the end of 2023, Russian forces launched about 7,400 missiles and 3,900 Shahed drone strikes against Ukraine according to Ukrainian military officials.[15]

Reports on the use of cluster bombs raised concerns about the high number of civilian casualties and the long-lasting danger of unexploded ordnance.[7][8] According to the OHCHR, cluster bombs have been used by Russian armed forces and pro-Russian separatists, and to a lesser degree by Ukrainian armed forces.[16][17] In several attacks, most notably the Hroza missile attack, Russia argued that the presence of any armed forces at a given place makes it a "legitimate target", which has been criticized by many international law experts and UN diplomats.[18]

RUSSIA - Turkey & India Stop Buying Russian Oil as USA Increases Crackdown on Sanctions

This is almost certainly true.

Zelensky is the main culprit here, useless comedian and definitely an absolute dunce of a political leader.

So let's think about what was on the offer for Ukraine that Zelensky rejected...

Remain Neutral like Switzerland.
Join the European Union.

or

Join NATO and host weapons pointing at Russia and take Ukraine into war

Which option did Zelensky pick?

If the same question was asked of the Ukrainian people what option would they choose?

Who thinks Zelensky was a natural political leader who rose up the ranks or was manufactured by the West to serve dogs of war interests?

If the same question was asked of the Ukrainian people what option would they choose?

  • Residents in the North of Ukraine (72%) -- including Kyiv --
  • and the West (71%) are most supportive of continuing the fight even as they come under increasing attack from Russian shells.
  • A clear majority in the Center (64%) of Ukraine also supports fighting to victory.
